Would be a no brainer in my opinion to offer him a decent contract.

I'm surprised he is that interested actually, I would imagine other clubs, either in Scotland or higher up the English pyramid, would be interested.

Get in early and sign him up as soon as possible to get the squad rebuild off to a good stsrt

 

Refreshing. The polar opposite of Adams. Build the team early and build it well.

 

This is definitely the sort of signing that would show we really mean business.
The fact the player himself is saying he’s open to it is definitely a massive factor.
Down to the club now to show that it’s serious about righting the previous wrongs.

 

Fitness might be he’s not played as much as he’d like this season, that and we seem to not have a good medical department/players were rushed back despite their advise

Unless there are chronic injury issues, this is surely a total no-brainer.

Like a lot of players, the pull of having Mark Hughes as your manager in Lg 2 could now become quite the key for keeping/attracting good performers to City. Can you imagine Adams having the same effect?!

 

It sounds as if he is hedging his bets and would be open to a contract at either Hearts or City and is trying to keep both options open. Hearts is his home town club and his family would not have to move. On the other hand, will they offer him a contract, given they sent him out on loan. In our favour is that we are playing him and he will be coached by Mark Hughes. If we offered him 2 years that might be enough to tempt him.

 

Why, he was lopped at the knees , by a defender. That caused the injury, can’t remember which away game it was… Scunny?

 

Not strictly true, Adams / Turnbull built the team quickly….it was a number of members that were wrong, where the problem lies.

 

We also don’t know when the interview with the Scottish paper was given, potentially even before Hughes was announced?

Either way I think we have all seen enough already that Walker would be a significant asset for a club at our level. If there’s an opportunity to get him, no brainer.
