Just got back from having lunch at Quinta, on Wells Rd in Ilkley. Also went there last Sunday. Both times we just called in on spec after a walk. They have a covered outside area with several tables and patio heaters keeping it cosy on nippy days like today.
I really like this place.
Today I had gnocchi in a creamy blue cheese sauce with sun dried tomatoes - absolutely delicious. Ms Offy had tempura prawns and daughter had chicken skewers - all very good. Last Sunday I had yummy calamari with alioli and Ms Offy had asparagus soup - both excellent.
On both occasions we only wanted a light lunch, but with the complimentary mini loaves to start we ended up feeling quite full.
They have a set lunch menu, but aren't precious about you ordering single dishes from it, as well as a lighter bites menu. They also have a different Sunday lunch menu with decent fish and veggie options as well as meat.
When we were there last Sunday the people on the next table were ordering from the Sunday lunch menu. One ordered roast beef and the waitress asked him how he would like it cooked, which is always a good sign and pretty unusual for a Sunday lunch, where you often get what you're given off a big joint. The family said they go there often and in their opinion it is the best Sunday lunch to be had in Ilkley.
I shall certainly be going back for the full Sunday lunch at some point.

Kiplings tomorrow night. I've not been there since it was Candlestick restaurant, I think about 30 years ago! Any recommendations?

 

Brontaes Horsforth tonight as I’m back in the UK. Place is new and only under a “soft opening setting”. Arguably the best food I have had in the North - for a while. Admittedly I’m not as travelled as most on here. Pig cheek starter which I think was about a 10er - superb. Duo of beef next - think it was 20 - again superb. Was about £40 a head, with 3 course and a few drinks. Would highly recommend.

 

I've got family in Horsforth raving about this place. Good to know.

 

I only live up the Road and didn't even know it existed! Is it where the old Forge pub used to be?

 

Couldn't tell you I'm afraid - I'm not familiar with the area. Going to do some investigating though...

Cena Bistro in Guiseley. Absolutely spot on food and atmosphere, highly recommend it however book in advance as it’s so popular.

 

Potentially. If you're on the 'bottom high street' go over the roundabout with KFC on your left and its on your right before you get to the Coop.

 

I am wanting to go there, seen good things. Menu looks good too except starters, think I only liked one of them where mains and sweets looked amazing

 

Macdonalds Forster Square Bradford. Quarter pounder and fries. Nice decor, fries crispy, burger smaller than the illustrated on screen burger but nice nevertheless. Carbonated drink to finish off.

Think they're changing the menu up soon from what I was told. Like I said still under a 'soft' opening - but was really good stuff imo.
