For once I actually hope you are right. That wasn't the impression I got from Adams, but maybe I misinterpreted what he said

 

I got the impression Adams didn't select him for tactical or other reason, not because of injury

As I posted in the other thread I think it may have been a disagreement with the conditioning department I was told he had a fitness test at Lunchtime

 

Same. I think tactical - it's unlikely he would have needed to replace Evans and Watt, hence only one of Songo and Sutton on the bench.

Derek Adams never said that he was injured so where did you get your inside info from?

 

Just seems the type that will be disobedient and how Adams dismissed the question makes me wonder they’ve had a little falling out.

Adams doesn't sound to me like a manager who would mince his words, surely if Sutton was not fit that's exactly how he would have replied to Jamie's question.
I said I didn't catch Derek's last comment but @Botswana Bantam said Adams comment was, "he wasn't in the match day squad but he's OK"

 

He had a head wound over three weeks ago, which was not expected to keep him out for long, but has barely featured since.

When he wasn't named in the squad yesterday, I sensed something may have happened. That was reinforced by DA'S somewhat uneasy response to Jamie Raynor in the post match interview.

 

Yep and the fact that after Adams answer, Raynor said something like "so he is OK, OK, er, right" and thought better of a follow up question! Adams probably scowling at him!

 

Nothing to see imo, we were at home against one of the struggling sides why go with two holding midfielders on the bench over two strikers and a winger? I’m sure there would have been a thread on Songo’o had he been the one to miss out. Mountains and molehills spring to mind.

 

Is that code for “ I’m just talking Horlicks”

 

What I find strange about Adams is that he's never teamed up with an assistant, who follows him from club to club. I'll leave other members to guess the reason for that........!

 

Have a listen to the interview. Definitely seems like Sutton has done something a bit naughty. He was fit but purposefully left out of the squad by Adams.
