Best of luck to a legend, he should never have come back again but that is on Rhodes. It’s for the best but I can’t see how it changes much, the club is rotten throughout, it was simply incompetence from Sparks to give them a contract extension only 2 weeks ago, people in other industries would probably be sacked for making such a costly mistake, because it will cost to pay him off.

Hopefully short term we see enough of an up turn to save us from non league, but longer term the club needs gutting.

 

I will say now that hes gone, as much as i have said previously that it wasnt his squad the fact they couldnt get their top targets and him saying he was happy with his squad was a huge rod for his back.

That being said i expect no improvement from this team. None. And i will frequently remind the outers after the fact.

 

Aye, that was my take on the contract as well. It may have encouraged the players to actually try knowing he could be here next season.

 

But you know deep down they won’t.Tomorrow in the T & A they will all spout the usual bullshit about McCall being a great guy and being behind him and giving their all for the club.All this whilst performing week in week out like they have never seen a football before.It happens at all clubs when the manager goes.Players win matches-Managers lose matches.

 

We're going to be lazy about this manager search too and will soon be back in this position.

Does anybody really think that PP would want to put himself through the stress of hauling another set of obviously not good enough players out of the relegation from the FL mire?

If anyone got Bowyer sacked it was the fans who started a McCall in campaign about this time last year.

 

No not Parky, we've already tried to ruin one legend by bringing him back. What the hell is this fan bases obsession with old managers and players. Time now for a clean slate, new manager, new CEO and hopefully some new players that are better than the shite we currently have.

 

Stability? Football is about results and many of us knew that McCall wouldn't be able to stop the bad run. If us fans knew then so did most of the footballing world.
