    I very much doubt I was there, it was a Monday game apparently Barrow v Bradford City, 01 December 1969 which we won 1 - 0.

    Barrow voted out of the league in 1972 . We have some good trips when it starts again.
    Tranmere, Morecambe,Carlisle and Barrow.

    Went once with my old man to watch Guiseley back in I think 2000 ish as the old boy watched them home/away.
    I seem to remember we were playing on the Sunday in those halycon premier league days, hence why I took the trip.

    I wouldnt be looking forward to this if I was you ? Have any of you ever been to "Barra"? Cos I have; to the Speedway its that long ago. And its a bloody long way !

    If you wanna socially distance ? No prob in "Barra" we'll all be "Unhappy Faces" ☹ by time we've done. Holker Street home of "The Happy Faces" as the Speedway team were known.

    They changed their nickname to the Bombers then became "Furness Flyers" before seeing out their final days as the "Blackhawks". But to me "Barra" means Speedway more than it ever did football ?

    Yeah balls to ambition. Who wants to go to Villa, Spurs, Old Trafford or Anfield when you can reminisce about visits in 1969 to a ramshackle ground in Cumbria, have an easy day out to Harrogate or visit a new real ale pub in Bedlington. Ashamed of some of the fans and ownership of this club.

    Although I would like to see Harrogate or Halifax come up, I never imagined we would ever be in the same league as Harrogate.
