    How does that demonstrate that Donaldson and Doyle would be a good partnership that would score goals?

    Our play is becoming increasingly pragmatic and dull. I dont envy any forward playing under Bowyer.

    I think the question now really is who do we sign to replace doyle? I'm not holding my breath that we reinvest the transfer fee, but even if we do the quality out there isn't going to be great for 100k. And it can't really be a loan either considering we're at our max 5 loans, unless we make some permanent.

    Doyle had history and decent pedigree, plenty on here said it was a mistake letting him go well before he even appeared for Swindon.

    Name me another club that Akpan did well at?

    Apparently we have conceded amongst the lowest goals at this stage since 1984/5. Focus recruitment effort on striker cover and quality creative midfield. Lose spares in midfield. Simples!!!

    Ideally we’d move on quite a few players in January our squad is bloated especially in midfield - I let any (even all) go from: Akpan, Anderson, Devine, Gibson, Longridge, McCartan, Palmer, Patrick, Taylor.
    Say all 9 went we’d need about 4/5 new players and have a squad of 23/4 quality players. Appreciate this won’t happen but we are wasting money on very average squad players
