    As the current pitch is being dug up there is an opportunity to sell it off in square feet sections. Replenish your lawn with this (optimistic). Keep this souvenir etc etc. Mind you each piece would have to cone with a warning: "There is no guarantee about the amount of grass you will get on each square foot."
    Videos could be sold of what the pitch looks like at one foot deep, two feet deep etc. At three feet deep they might find a pair of old pointy shoes, proving that Mr Mason's ancestors have been connected with Valley Parade for generations. They would make a nice raffle prize.

    Had they done this in some previous seasons, which were memorable, then maybe just maybe it would have worked.

    Perhaps a lengthy delay would occur, with Edin having to personally lift and catalogue each individual piece of turf then, you may well have had to wait sometime!

    Perhaps it could be called, 'Sowing the Seeds of Love' with a promise that there will be no more 'Tears or Fears'! ;)

    Needless to say the launch would be at the Turf, Frizinghall. :cool:

    Is the entire pitch going to be relaid? I was under the impression it was just the drainage system that was being improved.

    I think the drainage runs from the Sunwin across to the Midland Road (@Storck@Storck can confirm) so if they can locat the drains will they have to dig all the pitch up to the depth of the drains.

    I was being very serious!

    I think I overheard someone who was driving up Manchester Road (in a slightly erratic manner) talking about the launch!

    I was driving in the opposite direction, with the windows shut listening to 54-46/Toots and the Maytals with the Bass turned right up.

    But hey, what the...

    So I guess that officially makes me ‘in the know’!
