It's not self-indulgence, though, is it?

You are seeing the fruits of the pressure being put on the owners right now.

You have seen a minimization of Rahic's input.

You have seen the balance of power shift back to the MANAGER, not the head coach.

You have seen Julian Rhodes brought back to build bridges between the club and fans.

You have seen Stefan Rupp take a more hands-on approach.

These things haven't all happened because we are last, though clearly changes were needed - fans have been discussing our awful form and disconnect with the club for 11 months.

    ELEVEN MONTHS, no change.

Suddenly a crowd-funded stunt acquires all necessary funds in a couple of days with minimum publicity, zero advertising, and a few shares on social media. We had donations of £100. The strength of feeling isn't mumblings as fans leave Valley Parade, and it isn't a few gripes on forums. It's real. It's tangible. The fans have breathed life into the idea of a boycott, and the owners DO NOT LIKE IT.

They are taking action, things are changing, they are actively trying to recover the situation, as they see how serious it has become, and how close it is to having spiraled completely beyond their control. This exercise has been necessary, and even the thought of it has been effective.

Is this purely the result of a flyover? Of course not. But if you don't think these changes have been encouraged by the thought of fans taking very real action, boycotts, dwindling crowds, losing money, letters to the club, season tickets given away or destroyed, etc, etc, etc then you're simply not being realistic.

So you sit there and enjoy all the changes that are happening and yet to come, watch Hopkin with FULL control in January, and soak it all in. That wouldn't have happened if 18,000 City fans had done what you've done.

    Ie, nothing.

I think you're naive, if you think "fans pressure" has made a difference. I'll give you 5% and that's been generous

What has made a difference is the fact we're bottom and Rahic has had a disastrous post-McCall plus a naive January transfer window as well - the slide needed arresting and what better person than Rhodes, who's seen it all before in the 10/11 and 12 ending seasons

Of course it calms some fans down as well, but that's an added bonus - not the main objective at this stage

Fans rarely make a difference, Tans still at Cardiff, the Oystons at Blackpool, Duchâtelet at Charlton etc

Also, what's "bitter" about Parks comment? It was written in a humorous mickey taking manner as this flyover is simply hilariously ridiculous

Some of you take yourselves a bit too seriously - no wonder you think you've made a significant enough difference to affect Rahic's decision making

I am not bitter at all what have I got to.be bitter about.
What has changed policy is people like John.Dewhirst speaking to.Rupp and letters and Emal
    64 madcap donated.
you are spot on it is League position and the threat of relegation that has prompted change.
And the intervention of people like John Dewhirst talking to the money provider Rupp .
The flyover is a counter productive distraction from what Rhodes is trying to do.

You keep thinking that you've made the difference. You're perfectly entitled to your own views

The realists will know that the key differentiator has been Hopkin - who, as we all realised when he was appointed, would only take the job / stay if he was given full control and then I'd also wager that he wanted to work alongside
someone who at least has some understanding of how the lower league works. The other has been our position

This covers all your points, I've highlighted in red

Amusingly, in another bid to support your 'it woz the fans that did it' view you then write this.....

"These things haven't all happened because we are last". Really? You think this would all have happened if we were in the Top 6?

Love the 18000 fans comment. Clearly we must have 18002 fans, with myself an Park been the only ones, increasingly amused by these Donald Trump type claims

"everything will be perfect for this exercise of self indulgence. The 64 will be there with their t shirts saying look at me aren't I good"
That sounds pretty bitter to me mate.
Yes I'm sure John Dewhirst's meeting with Stefan was eye opening for Stefan, not sure that meeting was the decision that got Julian onboard on the 5th November, John Dewhirst meet with Stefan around the 11th/12th November.
Care to share with us on Batnam Talk the reply you got from Stefan from the email address I gave you, you might have been the straw that broke the camel's back ?.

Julian Rhodes isn't here because Hopkin asked for him.

There is no argument to be made for that.

You are firmly in denial, I'm afraid - the sheer weight of public pressure has forced the changes - and people like John Dewhirst and his meetings are part of that same thing - not separate from.

So if you feel John has made a difference, you're basically saying the fans' pressure is making the difference.

@Bronco@Bronco he will not have even sent an email to rupp as he knows rupp will have just put it straight into file 13 without even reading it.

Can it! Whether you've made a difference or not who cares....feels like a corner is turning slowly and this stunt isn't going to help anyone at the stage we are currently at. Just support the team....No distractions. You know in your hearts it's what Hopkin would say too and sorry I am behind him saving the day...not you keyboard warriors!

Cancel the fly past. Things are looking up and this will bring the mood down. Stop now for the good of BCFC.

They are looking up? Exactly how. The table does not lie, the squad is inadequate and ER is still here.

The last time we won in 90 minutes was at Wimbledon on 2nd October , when we beat an equally poor Wimbledon.

Things are looking up? We lose tomorrow and we are effectively 10 points adrift dependant on Gillinghams result. I’m not bothered either way regarding the fly over but please don’t tell me things are looking up. That will only start to happen when Rahic has left the builidng.

Eh up another poster calling anyone who sees things differently a "keyboard warrior" I'll be right behind the team and the manager after we've let the owners know just what some of us think about their involvement in our club, don't start the supporting the team rubbish, been there, done it, bought the tea shirt !!.

The fans are looking up (at the plane). The team are looking up (at the rest of the league above them). Football fans will be looking up (information about Bradford City and why we're doing so badly).
So yes I agree with you. Looking up is definitely the buzz word.

Sorry @Pink Dolphin@Pink Dolphin it's being done for the good of BCFC, the mood has been down since those two clowns sacked McCall and the club has not recovered as yet, Edin out, Julian our new CEO/CCO Hopkin to pull us around and survive relegation then we can say "things are looking up"
