I know he’s not actually left but we need everyone back down at VP to support the Rhodes revolution

 

What's the point in bringing him in on a consultancy basis when it's been widely noted that rahic doesn't listen to the fecking advice offered to him???

Need some actual proof that rahic is backing off

 

Hopefully just long enough for him to reclaim his original stake and agree an exit strategy.

Fingers crossed it's the beginning of the end and we can all get back to the good old days of blaming players instead of the staff.

When I first read the head line, I thought brilliant. However, he is still here, so we will have to see how this pans out, if JR can’t get him to listen nobody can. Can we have James Mason back as well now please?

 

..or Dave B..certainly need the position filling with knowhow.

 

Rhodes wouldn’t come if eh wouldn’t be listened to. Plus Rupp will have basically said listen and back off.

I doubt he is doing it for nothing too Rhodes.

Hope this is just a start. Had to chuckle at the description " a true Bradford City man". Haven't one or two of them been pushed through the revolving door in the past few months?

 

Bradford City are delighted to announce the return of former chairman Julian Rhodes, who has taken up a consultancy position with the club.

Rhodes will be working alongside joint owners Stefan Rupp and Edin Rahic.

He served as chairman for more than 12 years and guided the club to some of its most recent, memorable success stories - after helping rescue it from administration back in 2004.

Rhodes said: “It is a privilege to be back here and I will do all I can to help turn things around.

“The season hasn’t started how any of us would have hoped but everyone is committed to ensuring it ends on a much more positive note.

“We have to look forward. This club has been in worse positions in the past and we have overcome them.”

In a joint statement, Rupp and Rahic added: “We are privileged to be welcoming Julian back to the club and he has our full support.

“Following a period of reflection, we felt the time was right to seek assistance of a true Bradford City man who knows the club inside out and can offer day-to-day guidance.

“His expertise will be paramount in helping us turn things around. He will be working closely with me and Stefan while building a strong relationship with David Hopkin.”

 

He's only there on a consultancy basis too isn't he?

 

Genuinely don't know what to make of it, especially as we don't really know what sort of role Rahic will have.

Quite surprising as a few on here always state it was Rhodes who was desperate to sell up, not Lawn.

On a side note, what does Rhodes actually look like now, they've used the same picture for about 15 years.
