    Abbott created this nightmare so Hopkin should just clear off and leave him to it!

    I certainly don't wish Abbott any ill personally and l'm actually concerned for his wellbeing after the serious health issues he's had. But rather than continually hiding behind Hopkin let Abbott front up for once next Saturday and face the crowds growing anger and frustrations after what is sure to be another serious trollying against Portsmouth!

    I echo your wishes regarding his health but what he has done to generate such a awful squad he has to carry the can with Edin and needs a to go asap.

    Yes, today. Rupp has said Hopkin has the "green light" to bring in his own staff. He should do it, then if that doesn`t work out then he has to go, but who in their right mind would want to take on this poisoned chalice?

    But how does anyone know for certain that Abbo was going to Edin with better targets and being told no, he’s too expensive or wages too high?
    I believe this is solely Edins doing just from listening to him talk at the 25 year ST meeting where he was openly aghast at paying anyone £4K a week.
    If £1500 a week is our budget then it’s no wonder we are where we are.

    I've been a harsh critic of Abbott and still think he is part of the problem and needs to go, but it does sound like he has been up against it if this tweet is to be believed.

    #bcafc is going the way of Blackpool (fans boycotting) & Leyton Orient (inept owners killing the club). Edin means well, but he’s in over his head with this one now. And don’t blame Abbot, I had an office next to Edin last season and I heard all the battles with recruitment...

    No I don't think so, his Linkedin page says he is now the CEO for Sports Recruiting USA and also the co founder of SR Analysis. It says he has also been involved in coaching and scouting and has worked with a number of organisations in a number of different roles, including City.
