I actually thought he was going to send off Powell too. Mind you, a yellow for both would have been sufficient. The ref was too card happy and lost it a bit at the end.

 

Well we won.

We managed to score the absolute minimum number of goals to win given we finally conceded.

We do like the minimum number of goals.

 

I always thought the Barnsley fans were overplaying the negativity and he'd turn out to be a decent signing.

 

Had we scored early door there heads could have gone sooner fooking see where there bottom of the league ............is the kid who got sent on Saturday on loan from them ?????

 

I agree. I thought Ibbitson did well, he was clearly nervous and a little awkward on the ball but made the runs that allowed Lapslie to have space to breathe. Certainly offered more than Phillips.

 

I think we will find he will be much better going forward than defending

 

Well so far, and I know very early days, but O'Keeffe looks the better of the 2 signings from Barnsley. Did Barnsley play Phillips in a different role to what we are doing with him, if so doesnt make sense

But we have seen him play well at LWB and left 10 so looks like we've got a really good utility player.

Many did say he was a luxury player and not to expect a grafter.

 

I thought he was absolute garbage mate looked like a player playing local football in the park on a Sunday.

Apart from maybe their goalscorer with a couple of flashes, not one of their kids looked decent enough to think could do a job for us on loan.

 

Listening to GA after the game, he was VERY unhappy with the 1st half. That was a real carpeting that he gave the lads, and fair enough too.

 

Yes remember those comments and I did wonder whether he would be a fit here despite his very good goalscoring record from midfield last 4 seasons.

 

Philips was terrible. He’s been terrible all season.
TBH I thought Morgan was pretty much anonymous too - apart from that mad lash out shortly before he was subbed.

 

Didn't Swan start like this last season.

 

So he should be. I get that it isn't the most exciting game to be involved in but if you're not currently in the picture for the league and want to be, these are the games where you should be staking your claim.

 

Just got back,great decision from Alexander to take Hunphrys,Swan and Phillips off,bringing on Pointon and Powell changed the game.

 

First half wasn't great for most of the team but once the subs came on everyone improved but I worry for Matthews who was bullied at times.
