What a performance and result that was.
Keeper, back 3, Connolly and wing backs superb……but that’s harsh on the rest of the team who each and everyone of them were superb. We looked organized, disciplined and resilient.

Connolly player of the match - read the game really well.

Ashby must have made Luton fans furious. Some of the dark arts from us got him completely in a spin. A crazy reaction for the second yellow which could have easily been a straight red.

 

Saw a few abusing him when he got sent off deffo a target for more shithouse sides

 

TBF he came and claimed just about every corner they put in. Can't recall the last time we had a keeper who did that and commanded his 6 yard area so well.

 

A mention to Jackson. How many goals have come from his cross from that right hand side?

 

Tbh if Powell starts a game with how we play, his hamstring will be gone within a game. Feel for any striker playing in this system. Not trying to complain we are top and in the 4th round of the cup. But we create little, thankfully we concede little as well.

Big fan of his, but how often has he done that this season? I put it more down to the awful and one dimensional set pieces they served up than outstanding keeping.

Exactly this. For all our successes over the past couple of years, our away form has been something of an achiles heel. This season we appear to have found a way. Clean sheets are always going to give us a chance and we've done that in 3 of our 4 away games.

 

Yes it’s a fantastic return and I’ve not said otherwise. My point is for the skating of Beesley, Powell would probably get injured having to chase all the lost causes.

 

Beesley is fecking disgusting shocking player for us.
