When will Beesley bag one for City?

At 29 what makes you think a realistic target would be a career high amount of goals? We proved last season we don't create for strikers. Again, not saying he's shite, I like him, I just think we need to get goals from other players.

 

I'd like to think we will still have more going forward than Burton. Totally agree though that regardless of how many we can get from Beasley, we will probably need double figures from other sources. Sarce is an obvious contender for that, but not from where he's currently playing!

 

I don't think we're anywhere close to having more going forward than Burton at the moment. They beat Wimbledon 4-1 last night, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't score 4 goals in any of our league games this season.

Ronaldo would have been 5 years old so probably could have signed Romario instead.
Having said that, a 5 year old Ronaldo could probably play those 3 off the park.

The photoshoot for the away kit in preseason has a funny photo where Beesley is sat with Hanson and he looks built like a young teenage kid compared to the size of big Jim and his arms. Does Beesley need to bulk up a bit and be a bit more stronger?

 

Beesley will get the odd goal but overall is not good enough especially if we have ambitions above League one. Was not what we needed and a poor signing.

 

Beesley should be benched for Saturday and replaced with either Powell or Humph (if fit)
He must be feeling the pressure and give him a chance to see how the team functions
Morgan has to start and Sarce back to his usual role
Time to restart our season. !!!
I do think there is a player in Beesley whether he is a goalscorer or not remains to be seen
If Powell can only manage 30 minutes why on earth did we keep him

 

A poor signing judged on how many games ????

 

Youga was actually decent.

Not a popular opinion but I think we looked more like scoring Humphrys or otherwise when Humphrys was on the pitch. He made things happen, often by giving someone a rebound to mop up or feeding off his scraps.

 

And how many chances doe he have to squander before the penny drops

 

Same with Kelly Youga. He was a good player. Zesh Rehman wins the award as worst player because we actually made him captain while he was terrible

 

Listen to the latest Take Me Home podcast. Mark Bower who was Beesley’s manager at Park Avenue said it took him a while to score his first goal but after that he managed to get 20 in the season.

Go on after 6 games how many decent chances has he really squandered ?????
Get it if he was missing chances galore but guess what he bleeding ain't is he and the answer to whose gonna take his place ?????

 

Chances / goals aside I was hoping to see him 'make things happen' a bit more. I thought we'd get a player who was a nuisance to defenders, winning balls off centre backs, clever lay offs, taking defenders on and creating chances, winning free kicks, linking play etc. He's not affecting the play enough for me. We can't afford to have a player at the point of the attack who is just there to be serviced. Eyes on him today. He needs to start having a material affect on the game.

 

Not his fault if nobody is there to link up play is it

 

We absolutely get enough bodies in and around him on the whole. That's definitely not an issue.
