Theoretically, is GA going anywhere?

I personally think they will go after a glamour name rather than taking a risk on someone who has never managed at that level ????
Let's be right how many times does the legend returning turn out for the best anyhow ?????

The man has professionalism coming out of every pore. He will not just walk away and put Bradford City under pressure. He has been building this club up ever since he arrived. He has a very solid relationship with the CEO and Rupp which must be rare. Plus the job is not finished and unless there is a major fall out I don’t see him leaving anytime soon. He has proved that you don’t need all quality players in your squad you just need a few. No one comes close in my view, he is the best manager we have had. Parky and Trevor Cherry were very good but I just think GA has that extra magic to bring a squad together.

 

More likely the West Ham job when useless Nuno gets the bullet.

 

What about player/manager in 6 games time when GA goes to Preston after Heckingbottom gets sacked?

He's not going anywhere. On Sarcevic's contract extension, GA says he'll be here for at least 2 more years.

What if a club comes in and doubles/trebles his salary.? I feel loyalty in football is measured in the value of the contract these days. I hope he doesn't go anywhere but it is entirely possible he does.

 

I would be surprised, however money talks, if a higher club comes in with a far better offer, GA is on a reputed salary of 250k, and a club higher up the ladder may be prepared to pay significantly more, its a short career even as a manager., Not tempting fate like, just saying ,,,,

 

No loyalty bud OK us going about it but if GA get a contract that set him up for life then who can blame him ????

He could easily fall flat on here and then struggle to get another job or he could go to Preston on more money knowing that should he fail he would have a big payday and still walk into a lower league job

 

Two ways to look at it. Managers like Rowett or Edwards as others mentioned are a more than safe bet for a side like Preston, but GA having played and managed there before could return a bit of a feel-good factor should fans turn.

All speculation really and I think everyone’s just saying the same points based on ifs buts and maybes.

One thing I haven’t seen directly mentioned is that I’m almost certain Sparks has said the club constantly have a contingency plan should they have to sack or part ways with a manager, think that came after GA came into a club built for a more Hughes style of play, so they want a more seamless change in the event of a future departure.
