The Voice - Match preview #2: Sheffield Wednesday vs Bradford City Thursday 20th August 2026 8:00pm

I think we've competed pretty well first half. Not perfect and need to be more clinical but i can't see many teams getting anything at Hillsborough.

Does anyone else feel like the main camera view feels like we're watching it from space! Zero close ups apart from lingering for ages on some fat old Wednesday players. Oh and Mel Sterland certainly did not play for city.

Commentators talking about Barry Bannan like he's prime Messi is also getting on my t!ts

 

The cameraman has been brilliant. I've really enjoyed watching all of the action in the stands.

 

Be careful talking sense about our midfield. The forum OGs won’t be happy

Turned the sound down at half time, already had enough of the commentators blowing smoke up Wednesdays arse!

 

It's like watching the world cup again by being more interested in the stands or replays that the live action

 

At least the World Cup crowds were somewhat more, erm, photogenic...

Beesley does more work in 10 mins than Humphrey’s and Powell would do in 90 mins , feel for him not getting much help tonight so far

 

Feels like most of Wednesdays chances came from a piece of really sloppy play from us, but we’ve settled down since the shambolic first 15 minutes. We can do better though, we’ve been poor on the ball.

 

Match has gone as I expected.

Thought they'd start fast and try and get the early shots in. We weathered that and got through to half time.

Second half is a whole other match. Hopefully, we get some shots on target.

 

Harlaand would struggle in this side, the way GA sets us up

Disagree about Powell. Beesley is a workhorse who just throws himself about from what I’ve seen, whereas Powell is a smart intellectual footballer

 

Game wise this so far is playing out the way I feared, Wednesday enjoying the majority of the game whilst we just look fearful, and unwilling to go play our game. It seems to happen all too often away from home under GA, it feels like we play for a 0-0 until we concede.

 

Can’t wait to not watch the Arsenal champions show or whatever they’re plugging now
