If it is to be Conolley, that does seems a bit underwhelming, but until a ball is kicked in anger we won’t know

Id imagine most clubs in league one would be approaching him. His agent will have spoken to most League one clubs you’d think. If it is that his demands are just too high then he will no doubt lower them at some point which will then cause a bidding war.

It's dry across the league at the min. In the last 7 days, there have been a total 9 incomings across the 24 L1 clubs, 7 permanent moves and 2 loans.

Wonder if everyone is waiting for the PL teams to get back from America and Asia tours, then see what U21s are there for loans to keep costs down in the new FFP rules?

About 3 weeks ago, I stated that a midfield of Cartwright and Connolly was a potential disaster in the making, and got shot down because “recruitment had been on point up until then” and we had plenty of time to bring in more bodies. Now everyone is complaining about the exact same thing

well lets apply the same logic. Still over a month to go in the window, I’m sure it will be rectified soon so no need to panic just yet

A lack of genuine rumours recently means everyone has made a mountain out of a molehill about the trialists. We barely ever sign any, its simply a system that is beneficial to the club as it gives them extra bodies when teams are light at the start of pre-season. And OOC players a chance to get fit and put themselves in the window. The only one We’l probably sign on is Powell so stop shitting yourselves that were about to go down the penny pinching route all because were letting a few plodders train for us

Whats Phillips best known position, with regards the midfield role could he not fill in alongside Connolly.

Not ideal but if he went in there, we could last years attacking front 4/5 vying for spots alongside beesley

 

According to Callum Fowler, we must play Phillips in the No10 because if we don't we'll get the same result as Humphries.

They tried countless systems and in every one Phillips just doesn't do much off the ball, the rest around him really cover some yards as he just barely defends.
