A City Vent type similar fan account for them has said that Sam Morsy turned down Peterborough earlier in the window.

I'd fully expect both games to be moved to 12:30, there's no way the police allow either game to stay as 3pm. The only question is if Sky pick them up as one of their official picks like the home game last season or whether they leave it and it gets moved so they pick up the game like the away game. The fixture selections for October - weekend of 8th-11th Jan are announced next Friday so wouldn't be surprised if the home game is one of them.

Deepest condolences to Jayden by the way after his 2 year old brother tragedly died on holiday earlier this month. He must be going through hell at the moment and switching clubs is probably the last thing on his mind.

Apparently wanted too much money. He'll either pick up a club that will pay him what he wants or will have to lower his demands as the weeks go on and he's still in the PFA team. It's a shame because I think he'd fill the gap here we're in need of in central midfield.

Who was the right back we got as a free agent around about Hopkin's time I think? Decent player but a similar mercenary attitude

Cant imagine they are the only ones who have been knocked back. He (or his agent) will still think they might be able to get a champ club, but i cant see it at his age and it didn't sound like he stood out too much at Bristol.

Morsy can probably bide his time really, lets face it about 90-95% of L1 clubs would take him? If he waits for clubs to get a little more desperate, or their market dries up and the clubs are left either gambling on a young loan or overspending on Morsy, more than a few will go down the tried and tested route over a cheaper loan. He'll end up with a decent club on a fair whack.

We've seen this before - someone will pay up eventually like Williams going to Gillingham or McGoldrick going to Mansfield. Some random club will stump up the cash eventually.

Sign of the land above. Lincoln have struggled to get names over line this summer, so far just Callum Elder has been added to their squad. But today they have agreed a fee for a 22 year old centre back, Andrei Coubis from Cluj in Romania. The lad was brought through the AC Milan academy and has just 20 senior games on his CV in Romania...... £2.5m fee agreed with Lincoln o_O

I cant imagine their free agents or cheap deals model was going to attract too many for the CH. One year in the champ could be a very expensive one for the Imps!

Things have certainly tightened up since the new salary cap regime has been introduced. In the recent past, some players will have played it long - so's to speak - with the expectation thar a club will come in later in the process to meet their wage demands. That's more of a risk now with the cost of doing so likely to be a bigger hit for the buying club's owners. One of the reasons behind the new regime is to do juat that and make the financing of EFL clubs less dependent on owners' funds. That will undoubtedly trickle down to playing costs and therefore wage demands over time.

Fingers crossed he has some potential and can be an asset. Seems a low risk signing anyway.

Yeah I just didn’t see anything in him against Halifax , he was out of position a lot and really didn’t look arsed, which also could be said for many of our actual players granted, but if it’s just a years deal on low wages could be worth a shot
