Season tickets in 1996 were around £300z
Even with a modest 3% inflation rate over 30 years it would suggest ST prices today could / should be nearer £500

 

1998/99 season, adult season ticket was £229.00

 

you can get Championship football for less than £349, and it includes hot water in the hand basins

 

Slightly off topic but still relevant, good to see Brentford moving back to the older model releasing a kit for a period of two years rather than just the one.

suppose its easier with the income from the PL but hopefully other clubs may start to follow suit

 

They've done it for a few year now, makes sense to try keep costs down. Think they try keep it for away kits too but obviously depends who comes up to make sure there's no clashes, but the home shirt for sure has been 2 year cycles for the last 3 or 4 home shirts. Think they've kept the away shirt every now and again. Suppose you need a supplier who'd be happy to go for that plan too.

Cant see it catching on in football. It's good PR wise, but cant be great marketing wise. I cant imagine sales are still worthwhile in the second season of the shirt.

 

I see they are keeping the guard of honour package going for this season too.
