They've set out not to let France dictate the game and they've done it superbly. The way they are marshalling the French front players is top class.

 

But I never mentioned Fernandez.

They've grown into it. Seemed to be giving a lot of space to France at the start but now closing them down quite a lot.

France have the potential but they are a bit disorganised and don't have the discipline defensively

 

That's what I mean about lacking discipline.

One French player tracks a Spanish player, another doesn't so they just pass around them and work out an opening. Rubbish defensively from France.
