So this is where the world cup posts are hidden. What an amazing game, backs against the wall stuff down to 10 men playing against Mexico, their fans and an officiating crew who reacted to every crowd plea. Mexico reminded me of a team like Atletico or a league 2 clogger side kicking lumps out of you but then moaning about every decision and looking for bookings for every foul.

Roll on Norway who i think are far more of a test than Brazil would have been, as they are a solid good workman like side with a superstar up front. Where are Brazil are a few flair players with a midfield that just doesn't exist.

 

That's the problem with the late matches. You don't just watch it and fall asleep! Takes you a good 30-60 mins to unwind.

In Poland so it started at 3AM for me - had no idea what their National TV analysts were saying in the one hour delay so I decided to “stay here and drink all the (Mexican’s) beer” and chugged some Corona! 4 hours kip so on my 3rd coffee now !

 

One more call and then some food I think.

Fantastic result for England last night, did any of you stay up? Naturally work followed the recent pattern of being rubbish, on rest now, was out 7:30pm yesterday til 5am. Biblical rain here all yesterday.
