Without having seen these lads in City shirts (and we should never judge them before they kick a ball or something), it does feel like we're being systematic in upgrading the XI this Summer.

These lads seem higher end L1 signings - whereas, no disrespect, I think many of last season's felt like midtable-level signings - Tilt, Pennington, Humphrys these players can do a job, but the better signings were the L2 standouts like Neufville and Touray.

This season we're seemingly targeting L1 standouts.

Definite, clear progress, or at least an attempt at it. Nothing's guaranteed, but it feels very positive indeed.

 

Great points... upwards and onwards but with sustainability is the way.

Charlton fan suggested he's got a "wand of a left foot" and can take free kicks as a result.

That would be welcome, but looks like most of his goals actually come from headers, which again, is welcome!

You can never truly predict the outcome of a signing. They may seem class on paper and turn out crap or vice versa. But at least with this year we can say, the recruitment team as of now are not at fault. All signings have League One experience, bring goals to the team and look very impressive on paper
