That's a classy statement, fair play.

Think it's a good move for all concerned. Tilt is coming to the end of his career and probably wants to play regularly and we probably can't guarantee that.

I wish him well. He was a big part of our team last year.

Enjoyed watching Tilt playing for City, always gave it his all, even if unconventional at times, seemed like a real presence on the pitch. Wish him well

Makes sense. Arguably the most succesful system last season, was when Toray and the ever improving T.Wright and Pointon played together. 6 wins in 11 matches, I believe with only 2 defeats.

Problem is that if we insist with three at the back, the two have to be very good ball distributors.

That leaves Tilt vying for the central role and for a promotion chasing team, we have better and will probably get even better.

Great signing though. It shows how ridiculous it is to write off a player, before we've seen him play.

Tilt probably knew he'd play more of a supporting role this season and would spend more time on the bench. Add to this his being away from family, and the travel to and from Birmingham on a weekend, he decided to set the wheels in motion with his agent. It's no coincidence that a localish club made an enquiry. Sam Walker may be the next one around January if he's not in the side.

nice statement from Tilt...... but jesus wept surely it was easier to put a statement next to an actual aerial shot of VP? Rather than the AI slop with the Kop having City spelt with a 1 in the middle and the B in Bradford crowbarred at the start in a different font and colour to the rest.

Yes, i am a petty bitch.

I thought that myself, then it made me wonder if the statement was Ai written. Doesn't really matter, once a players gone I'm not too bothered what they have to say. 3 players so far have left after only a year, they did well, but won't exactly be remembered among the greats. We move on.

Oh it's 100% AI written, it's too polished for your average jo to write, let alone a footballer with 20 years of heading under his belt. Not that it matters anymore, everything is AI written now. Our firm don't write a thing by hand anymore, everything is created or polished in Copilot.

He leaves with my fondest good wishes. It was a short but memorable stay. His signing proved that EVERY new player should be given a chance, the number of our fan base who wrote him off before he kicked a ball last season was ridiculous. He was never gonna be the future but if we can get a few more in the team with his strength, passion and bravery we'll not go far wrong.

I did wonder that myself. It certainly didn't feel as personal as Ciaran Kelly's message. I don't recall seeing anything from Metcalfe? Maybe I missed it, or maybe he just doesn't do social media.

Metcalfe said something, it wasn't anything special. I unfollowed him on Instagram as soon as he left. Nothing against the lad, I hope he has a great career. I just don't need players for other teams saying the generic crap, like great 3 points today lads, or we will look to improve it wasn't our day. Plus, I can't stand Millwall, so I don't need to see their shirt on my feed.

Another player leaving the club seemingly for geographical / commuting reasons.
Why sign for a club unless you are willing to relocate or put up with the travelling?
Some of these players will want to WFH soon.

If you read the T&A blog from last night it was stated he has worked away from home .for 12 years. He also knows he will not be playing as many games with competition on its way. He is in the twilight of his career and it makes sense for him
