What an afternoon!

Took the dog for a walk, found a neighbour bleeding profusely from his head after a fall. Rang 999, no ambulance, wanted him to make his own way to the walk-in centre.

He's 82, with mobility problems. Took him myself in an Uber, now being kept in because of a potential bleed on the brain.

Massive complaint going into the NHS tomorrow.

 

It's certainly in a mess. My lad was in Leeds last week making his way to a lecture when he came across an elderly lady who had tripped on the pavement and badly gashed her mouth and hurt her head. As he is a doctor he administered first aid and called for an ambulance to be told it would be there within 15 minutes. After half an hour he phoned again to be told it would be two hours. He called an Uber and took her to A&E himself.

 

Paraguay are pants, aren't they?
