Some rumours are wrong some will be right. The transfer window has turned people into strange paranoid children. I got slagged off the other day saying how I hate this new Fabrizio Romano culture where it’s made into a circus and people are frantically needing a sniff of a potential transfer. It’s probably my age.

 

It’s the fans tweeting the club with can we have a signing today for my birthday and such like that’s cringe

the I beg fans who want a signing every day that are annoying I like rumours it keeps the summer interesting but I’m not lobbying the club to announce (insert player)

I recall waiting for the late edition of the t and a to find out or club call

 

I enjoy the intrigue, but agree that social media frenzy surrounding it is a farce.

 

I’m glad social media has passed em by I don’t get the need for affirmation from strangers clicking. Thumb sign it’s strange making stuff up for likes it’s even stranger

 

Im following the conversation about current signings. Again here you are moaning about someone else’s opinion. I didn’t realise it was exclusive to people who just want to talk about hypotheticals.

Quite a bit I would imagine, given it's a 5 year contract.

 

That Sheff Weds fan has been 100% so far this window after, he called Stones turning them down to sign for York again. Apparently he's going to be one of the highest earners in L2. He said York have told the squad they are going for back to back.

 

Article in the T&A saying GA didn't want a loan keeper and wanted a permanent signing.

We may have spoken to Young but it sounds like GA didn't want a loan player.

 

Yeah that's how I read it too looks like Alexander wants a long term ready replacement for walker rather than needing to change again in 6 or 12 months time.

 

I get the impression that Walker will be in pole position to start the season as first choice, with McCracken more of a long term project.

However it may pan out, its good to have that genuine competition now.

 

I think the gauntlet will be thrown down in pre season to see who impresses the most. Whoever shines starts the first game.

McCracken hasn't come to play 2nd fiddle but as to adapt to what the manager wants and obviously Alexander trusts walker. Had walker been a few years younger I doubt we would have looked at another GK this summer however I do feel It really is a flip of a coin who gets the nod for Peterborough.

 

Makes sense , as I said yesterday, at least he’s ours to develop with 3 year protection for the club.
