Very good tie. Very much big favourites and on a Saturday and first home game of the season. Would be good to get a decent crowd, I’ll certainly be there!

 

I'll take that. Home and very winnable with a good chance to get to the 2nd round. No danger of Sky picking it for a Friday night game.

Noticed that we have the same two teams over Christmas and Easter. Is this usual or just a luck of the draw

 

We should find out tomorrow the TV selections for the games between the start of the season and end of September. I wouldn't be surprised if the Sheffield Wednesday away game is selected with it being a Yorkshire derby and their first home game under new ownership.

 

Sheffield Wednesday game switched to Thursday night at 8pm and Notts county away switched to 12.30 kick off

Both kinda suit me as I will now be able to watch them on the tellybox whereas I am working on both original dates.

Absolute garbage that. We've probably lost about 2k travelling support on the back of that move. A Saturday game even at 12.30 would have been a sell out, Thursday night is the worse possible selection.

Love that move for the Sheff game, I'm at Headingley on the Saturday for the test match so im chuffed I can make both now, if I'm lucky enough to get a ticket.

 

Is that all? The place must be in a right mess. And Thursday night is a bugger to get to, looks like a hotel in Sheffield and a commute from my office in Manchester.

They could've moved Sheffield to a friday night. That wouldve been class

also what was the need to move the notts game to half 12? Are Notts police expecting fan trouble because we fleeced them for Platt

Friday night is Championship night for Sky so never going to be a Friday. Sky have also moved the Notts County game

 

As expected Sky have left League One alone for the 2 international weekends at end of September and start of October. I wouldn't be surprised if them 2 weeks end up being a mini break for most teams.
