    What I like about the two signings both are arguably the best players at their previous clubs but they have loads of experience at this level and probably at their peak.

    I’d have Shep back at the drop of a hat. They played him all wrong, no wonder he floundered . Tippy tappy and left back wasn’t him. Far better cover than Kelly was who has to be replaced for cover.

    Shepard was very good for us when on loan yes he had a mistake of two in him but overall a 7/10 player. My concern was whether he was L1 level which is still up for debate from what you hear from Barnsley fans. He reminds me of players who are too good for one league but not quiet ready for the one above. Would I have him back yes but not sure he would oust Tilt or Touray.

    Not a chance I'd have him back even though he is clearly a good character. We need to be looking upwards and getting proven L1. Tilt will be a bit part player as he is 35 (same age as VVD !) and we need more pace.

    That will be back up to Big Sam then as opposed to first choice we would have had if we had have signed Young, who seems set for either Huddersfield or Wednesday

    Unfortunately there are places where Young could go that could start him in the first game and he'll keep the shirt if he plays well.

    I don't feel that is GA's view.

    How so? He is Dundee Number 1 in the SPL. Doubt he is coming to be the automatic back up at a L1 club, especially aged 26.

    Apparently Sheff Wed and QPR have been looking at him aswell.
