Tommy Leigh signed a permanent contract with Bradford City AFC on January 10, 2025. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder joined the club from MK Dons on an undisclosed fee for a two-and-a-half-year deal. [1, 2]

 

Hope that Leigh finds himself at a new club for next season. It was a strange signing, as he had his best season as an attacking midfielder but we never really played him there.

I’ll be forever grateful to that squad for getting us out of the Khazi League but time for Leigh to move on now. He’s not good enough for us and never will be.

Nobody really knows how much was paid for him it's all just guess work. Obviously the people involved with both clubs know the fee but would be risking their jobs if we're found to be leaking information , but at some point in the future it will be common knowledge. Anyway good luck to the lad and it's been a good bit of business by the club.

 

They've chipped in with a few bits of info here and there on transfers but only around the edges so it's hard to know if they are genuinely in the know or guessing a bit.

 

My uninformed and uneducated opinion is that they’ll be about right - but there will be performance based add ons and a sell on clause. We now need Millwall to get promoted and to sell him for £100m.

 

Even though he has gone there I still hate their horrible bullying fan base... punching and hitting shifters and women at the play off final..... tough teddies

 

They haven’t a clue, without guessing and reading Twitter . Fans won’t ever get to find out as long as it remains undisclosed, however the overall transfer figures should show on the balance sheet in 24 months?

 

You know as much as my “educated” … I haven’t got a clue , neither have they.

 

Think city vent are literally just judging the 700k+ profit on the minimum amount of 1 mil and Everton have 30% sell on fee . Could be anything above that

 

So what? It looked like he's not wanted here and Rovers will know that so either we let him go for a nominal amount or we carry on paying wages for someone who won't play.

Millwall paid 2.9m for a West Brom player, who had season long loans at Wycombe and Cheltenham. I'd be disappointed with £1m

 

I preferred the old days when we can look back and say we got x amount for this player or that player. I don't buy into this idea that it makes clubs up their price when they know we have money to spend, they know that already regardless if we put the figure public or not. If a player is decent it becomes an auction anyway due to demand.

Barnsley also let McGoldrick go - he’s moved to Mansfield on a free.

Losing Power and Metcalfe doesn’t hurt as much as I thought it might, even though both were key players in a largely successful season. Maybe this is something we need to get used to as the better players in the squad are likely to be sold to keep the our momentum moving forward. At present only Sarce and Bobby are the players fans feel closest to. I wouldn’t be overly bothered if any of the others left, if they were replaced by better players. I suppose we won’t know that until the season gets underway.
