    That's what they look for.

I remember watching a documentary on Brentford and this very thing came up. It was something about how if they're getting in the right positons, they will eventually score but it's hard to train someone to get into the right positions so while they're missing, the analysis suggests they'll eventually score loads.

Max Power was a very good player last season. At one point, he was in the top list of players for tackles, interceptions and blocks. I agree his dead ball deliveries weren’t great, but I don’t agree with those suggesting he would “easily” be replaced.

Add to this his leadership, he is definitely going to be missed next season. Suggesting there are loads of options better, but are they viable options? Can we tempt them to join us and what makes them “better” than Power was?

As a player, wont be too hard - Metcalfe can do his job. Ability wise he wasnt all that. As a leader he will be tough to replace.

Anyway I think it will be a blessing he has gone.

We play with 3 CBs....yeh he did the dirty work but we need more up the other end of the pitch from our CMs. Didnt register a single goal and probably had about 2 shots on traget all season.

Honestly think a lot of hot air and faux outrage to Power.
Thank him for his contribution to last season, in which I thought we'd struggle in the lower reaches of the divison
Simply move on and we certainly can do better

I don't get why metcalfe wasn't on corners last season. Whenever power was suspended he took them and they looked 10x better than his

Wheatley will eventually become a good player Remember mcburnie at city you knew he was going to come good but at city he was too young and in expexperiance but same as Wheatley there’s a good player there , as for power going he was so much better than Smallwood and a big part in our success last year , to me he was our best player , so im hope ing we can be lucky and get a player of his quality in , but this time it might cost us a lot of money !

Spot on. Haven’t got a problem with the move - he doesn’t have any affinity to us and it ticks all the boxes for him. It could actually work out to our benefit in the long run…

Mcburnie was a child and only 17, Wheatley is 20 with 3 FL loan spells under his belt.

    Max Power!

Forget the drive to and from his home.

He managed to relocate to both the Middle East and Denmark!

Perhaps a longer commute than driving over to Bradford!

In all fairness he has a commitment to Wigan, not dissimilar to McCall and City.

The ELEPHANT in all this is his age. He will be 33 in a few weeks.

He had one year left on his contract at City.

He now has a fresh two year Contract, which will see him alright until he is 35! No brainer!!

When he first arrived he was a stand out player. He lost that edge over the last few months.

A magnet for yellow cards, doesn’t know when to stop arguing.

Will I miss him? Yes, he put a good stint in, a ‘driving’ captain.

In interview he came over well.

    Will I ‘Boo’ him. No!!

Wish him well except when Wigan play us.

We move on, and look for a transfer in, to replace the slot.

Eh? Max Power is off to Wigan? When did that happen? Didn't see that one coming!

Why do I have it in my mind that he’s been released a week after the news first broke on the basis we have already signed a replacement in the meantime? One precludes the other , so to speak? Perhaps that replacement is away on holiday and no time yet allocated for the media roll out?

I don’t buy this Nixon , Twitter, You Tube utter nonsense that he won’t be replaced. Why would GA leave us with young Metcalf and Leigh as our go to midfield duo?

Anyone who thinks we will not replace Power are off their heads.

I cant even see Leigh being here so that would leave us needing at least 2 central midfielders

Mcburnie was 19 and a fair bit behind Wheatley when he left. Wheatley will be a very good player he just lacked confidence.
