Hope it works out as the transfer to Carlisle ended up being a suicidal career move

I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone listens to the full 2 part podcasts on BBC Sounds. They’re an hour each but well worthy of your time. I certainly look at Harry and his career in a different light. He’s a great guy and we should genuinely all wish him the absolute best.

Call me cynical, but I'm struggling to see what the point of that interview was. Who's it benefitting? Fair enough if he was retired and coming back to have a chat, but the guy is 28 and still playing for a club in our division.

Never quite got the love in with him. 1 good season and his head was turned and look how that ended up for him.

Is he doing the media round to put his name out there to try and get another move to somewhere where he will be actually playing?

Don’t overthink it - it’s just a podcast in the summer lull.

Lewis comes across as a player who certainly needs an arm around him to get the best out of him. Mark Marshall was a bit like that in under Parkinson, who is a known stand off and old school type manager he looked so average as a winger. Has McCall come in and give him reassurances that he is the guy and looks totally different.

Hopefully the fella can get his career back on track, comes across as a really nice lad and it's clear he still has a love for the club.

I haven't seen the full interview but I think the problem Harry had was that he struggled to get over the Carlisle defeat in the play-offs. That season he was outstanding and I genuinely thought we had a proper player on our hands and a long term no.1 who could rise through the leagues with us.

After the semi final defeat he was never the same. He just seemed to have lost all confidence in his ability, something which I think is key particularly for a keeper. As @Jordan@Jordan says above, I think he probably needed an arm around him and maybe Alexander just wasn't the one to give him that.

I was a bit gutted to see him move on because he's also a great guy, but at the time his form was terrible and it certainly looks like it was good idea to cash in when we did.
