Their are loads of really nice places within easy driving distance to VP
Even on the outer edges around me in Thornton there are some lovely properties to live in

If it weren’t for the kids and grandchildren we would move to the Dales at the drop of a hat . Anywhere Skipton , north.

It's lovely up Thornton way and beyond. The view back down the Valley toward Bradford and Leeds never gets boring.

    Lucky man.

Wife born in Skipton and we know the Dales very very well . Wife thinks she will struggle to see them ( She’s probably right tbh) . Essex and Suffolk is a big hike and daughter works in the City so she can’t move .

It’s a stunning area. Starbottom, Kettlewell, Buckden anywhere like that would do. I keep looking but I know the answer ;).

We too looked at Starbotton when we were looking for quiet peaceful places in North Yorks Kev. Lovely village, nice little cottages etc, so we called into the small, local pub for a bit of lunch. The Landlord asked us what we were doing there so we told him. "Ney lad, dunt know why thee wants to live 'ere, place is a graveyard, can't wait to bugger off mesen!! :)

If one wants exclusive remoteness then he’s right , We are used to the quiet life to be honest …. Our village , Facebook complaints if someone cuts their grass on a Sunday !

I live in Farsley and it's excellent. Not quite remote enough, but i'm not at remote age. We have that when we go to the in laws in france for peace.

Yes, lived here for 25 years and it’s a good city to live in - a far cry from Bradford where I was born and brought up for 23 years.
Sandal, St John’s and Newmillerdam in particular are very well to do.
    Have you ever been here?

My son lives in Outwood so we spend a lot of time in and around Wakefield and quite honestly the difference between there and Bradford is night and day.
I live outside Bradford in Nab Wood but I travel through Bradford regularly and beside everything else it's like the Wacky Races.

Outwood is a stone’s throw from me! Feel quite settled here now and would never move back to Bradford.

I met a mate for a night out in Farsley. First time I'd been in a good few years. I couldn't believe how it's changed! The place was bouncing with lots of new bars and eateries. It's definitely on the up!

You can tell places that are desirable and the above is a tell tale sign. Didsbury the other side of Manchester is like that, worked there a few years ago. Saltaire and Lindsey just outside Huddersfield similar.
