We have been linked with Paul Smythe from QPR

I saw that one, strange as he is an out and out winger only throughout his career. Cant see it unless we are changing shape, but if we were changing shape bringing in yet another CB would be a bit daft too as we are already fairly stocked there.

Callum Connolly when fit is a good solid dependable player. Nothing flashy about him at all. Versatile, The sort of player you don't really notice that much but you know he's doing his job if that makes sense! can play at CB, CM. & has also covered at RB. Out injured for most of last season & we really missed him. If he's fully recovered from his injury you'll be getting a decent if unspectacular squad player.

I would imagine Smyth could play as a wide forwatd rather than out and out winger?

I would be far more onboard with this than Michael Smith if it happened

Well Simon Parker bangs on about him nearly every day so must be something in it.

Much prefer Beesley to Smith, shame we didnt get him in January.

I presume like the Power situation, where player knows of our strong interest, and wants the move to happen, all about the fee as Burton wouldnt want to keep a player who is seeking a move and in last year of his contract

Sounds decent enough for us. Where do you think Bailley is heading? Whats the word.

Yeh competition for Bobby and Sarc. Be a very good signing for L1 - QPR fans love him, although the manager seems a bit hit and miss with him. I dont see it happening but delighted to be wrong.

Yeah i hope it's Beesley was target one or two, Smith was maybe target 4 or 5 for the same role and his agent got jumpy in getting his name out there. Dont need both.

GA also has confirmed this morning that we are in talks with Baldwin and Tyreik over new contracts.

Yeah i guess he would be able too. Not sure how many times he's worked in the half space like ours do but drifting wide happens constantly anyways. QPR fans and Orient fans seem to like him, seems to be very inconsistent at CH level, better output in L1.

Happy with those. I know Baldwin has his critics but I think we are better with him in the team. Same with Ty

Don't know if there's any truth in it but someone linked us with Moray. Played a couple of seasons ago for Ipswich in the prem, he could be replacing power when he inevitably goes to Wigan. Not sure what to think about it to be honest.

If Power wants to go, that’s fine; he leaves for a fee that compensates us adequately or we hang in there until it’s paid. We need to shed this tag of a club that can have its pants pulled down over transfers.

Hopefully whoever replaces him is as good a leader. And plays ten yards further forward.

All this playing in a half empty stadium is a load of bollocks. If that's where your happy, and playing your best football, then the crowd is immaterial.

At least we are getting money from power's move and not letting him go for free next summer.

Yes, as long as it’s used to replace him with someone decent that’s fine by me. He is a good player at this level and will be missed, but has his limitations. Whether getting money for him is a good thing depends entirely on what we do with that money.

Morsy has been on lucrative contracts with Ipswich, a short stint in Qatar and Bristol City, so probably out of our price range.

Massimo Luongo, his old teammate, leaves Millwall in a few weeks. He’s been there and done it at this level, has a good engine and would be more affordable.

Totally agree, I don't know where he lives but it's been suggested his still lives somewhere around Wigan, if it is then that will be saving him 2 hours in the car every day. The time and fuel costs saved of that will be big factor for him along with that if he gets a 2 year deal then that's more long term security for him and his family that he doesn't have with us. As he's closer to home there will be more chance he can watch his son's play in the academy.
From his point of view it is probably the perfect move for him and his family which far outweigh any difference in crowd sizes which, despite what every player says in their first interview here will be low on the list of attractions to the club.

It will be interesting to see what Wigan do this summer, if they get it right I can see them having a very good season as Gary Caldwell is a very good manager and did very well after taking them over in February.
