Has anyone paid Nixon for his gossip?

 

I saw one of those kids 'in the know' accounts the other day mention us being interested in Paul Smyth.

 

Paul Smyth or Michael Smith, whichever one, no thanks.

 

We surely can do better than that. Honestly feel it’s going to be a long long long summer. Let’s hope nixons way off it.

Yeah, Smyth would be decent but like I said, it was one of those 'in the know' accounts that rarely, if ever, gets anything right so I don't think there will be anything in it at all. Michael Smith though, no thanks, might as well have kept Cook.

 

Cheaper option to Beesley then

 

Massive to an already well funded club like Lincoln is different gravy to a well funded Bristol City bankrolled and huge losses ( £90m in debt ) supported by loans largely to them by a billionare banker .

 

Michael Smith ..Year younger than AndyCook and more experience and goal scoring history at league 1. Jake Beesley decent last season but previous at league1 doesn’t look stunning. Would you pay big 6 figure for Beesley or get Smith on nominal fee who is good in the air and knows the league better.

 

Sharpe, mcgoldrick, strikers in their later years who have done well at this level
I won’t knock any signings until they have pulled on those stripes and shown us what they can do

 

It would not surprise me one bit , if Trump named himself in the starting line up for USA, after all he is the greatest of all time

 

Back to Smith, I heard we were bringing Matt Smith out of retirement. That's more our level for strikers

 

Bobby Smith would be ideal (one for the ancients) and a tyke too

I’ve seen Smyth play a few times and haven’t been overly impressed (albeit at Championship level so you’d hope he would do better in league 1).

I imagine if we did go for him he would want a fair amount too.

But yes, just a rumour (I hope ).
