10 year anniversary...

'Atrocious away form' is a wild over reaction. We actually had the 8th best away record in the league and gained only 1 less point than promoted Bolton.

Yes we could improve on it for sure by turning some of the defeats into draws.

The bad away run between January and March clouds over with some fans the fantastic away record for the first 4 months of the season when we only lost 1 away game.

 

Pretty sure there was a few people that post on forums who called it very early.

 

So they bought us when we were in the league 1 play offs, and 10 years later we are in the league 1 play offs.

When put that way it sound like we have tread water, but in reality we had about 7 years of turmoil, a wembley trip and a promotion.

 

Only 2 wins and 2 draws better than Blackpool in 21st place in the away table.. how many defensive errors cost us against the "lesser" teams?

 

What is happening about Rupp selling the club? Looking at how the club is nowadays with last seasons rewards settled with our league position, Attendances etc. one would think there would be some interest. Other clubs seem to have people enquiring about purchasing them but there is never any talk about anyone looking at City or City making any effort to find a buyer?

 

Don’t think we need to sell as it stands.

 

Rupp doesn’t have the funds to keep City in the Championship

 

Shouldn’t that read, “Rupp doesn't have funds to progress us in League 1” ?

 

Let’s worry about that when and if we get there. We’re in League 1 at the the moment.

 

But didn't Rupp say that he would like to sell the club? He is not a football fan and had no interest before he was conned into buying us. Surely if that was the case now would be the time to make people aware that we are for sale.

 

I’d be very nervous about Rupp selling the club. We are about as stable now as we have been at any time in the last 30 years.

We know the script - new owner comes in, recruits all their own people (managerial and backroom) and you’re set back 5 years.

So nah, not for me at the moment - we’ve got a lot of momentum and are progressing on and off the pitch. We are in a good place - no need to upset the apple cart.

 

Aye.. the ideal scenario would be Rupp maintaining controlling interest but have one or two big money investors come on board. But we haven't had anyone interested, as far as we know, since the crypto bullshitters.
