Tomorrow will see either West Ham or Tottenham Hotspur’s relegated.

Two big clubs with extensive history and huge support.

I know @Offcomedun@Offcomedun and @Interested Bystander@Interested Bystander is a stellar poster and comes across as a really good guy, are both West Ham Fans.

However my Son-in-Law is a Spurs Fan (gave up his Season Ticket in 2025, cost and son being the reasons).

It will be sad to see one of them drop.

So may the…….er………least worst team survive.

    Up the irons.

I'd love to see Spurs in the Championship.

    Strangely ambivalent about it tbh

I've been through relegation a few times (once with 43 points!), and it wasn't the end of the world, and 68 years of memories will still be there. I won't miss VAR, more home games, away games available on Sky, 3 o'clock KO on Saturdays, regular mid week games, we'll win more games and the Stadium rent halves.

The sort of reply I'd expect from a proper fan, been there seen it done it, top man.

Hope West ham stay up, purely as it would be funny to see Spurs get relegated.

Also they kind of deserve it for sacking a manager who had just won them their first trophy in however long - I know you could argue league position that season etc, but at the end of the day, they were already pretty much safe from relegation and no one cares if you finish 14th or 17th but a trophy is something you'll remember so Ange was right to prioritise that.

By all accounts the financial situation is pretty dire even if relegation doesn’t happen. I don’t think it’s comparable to previous relegations because the Championship is now a very different, more expensive, beast from the old second tier. My worry is that the drop could precipitate a Leicester/Luton situation and I have no faith whatsoever that the idiot dinosaur Sullivan will make any of the right choices to engineer a recovery.

With the 2nd highest attendance in the Premier League and a stadium that if relegated see's the rent HALFED it makes things significantly different to Leicester/Luton. Not to mention there's a few players that will almost certainly be sold for decent money (Bowen for example who I would be surprised if they don't get £50m+ for seeing as the rumours are there are 8 top clubs after him) which the other clubs didn't really have. Plus with the relegation wage drop clauses and the parachute payments they will be fine and most likely atleast in the playoff push.

And while not related to relegation how ridiculous is what's going on at the Etihad is. They took of Silva and had both teams give him a guard of honour of the pitch and then 10 mins later took of Stones and did the same. It's not even like either is a absolute legend, don't they have both been really good players but not Legends (and I'm not even sure for legends that should happen when a match is going on)

    We shall see.
The attendances will be well down next season because they’ll lose all the tourists.
Over £100m in debt apparently, so a big chunk of the inevitable player sales will be unavailable for squad rebuilding.
The club is an outdated shambles behind the scenes, run by a clueless idiot who no one trusts to make the right decisions to turn things around. Meanwhile, much smaller clubs like Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth have overtaken West Ham because they are run efficiently, with clear strategies and modern methods.
The man who sold the club’s spiritual home for a soulless athletics ground that was supposed to be a ‘world class stadium’ and deliver a ‘world class team’ has instead wasted hundreds of millions on terrible managers and players and dropped the club from the verge of the Champions League to relegation from the PL. Even if the money is there, I have zero confidence in Sullivan to appoint the right people to rebuild the squad for promotion.
