I think they don’t have a good record in playoffs/finals. Stockport could well beat them and a bit of a bogey team to them. So yeah. They aren’t there yet. A club with entitled fans much like the doggies down the road.

Wow Kevin, I now know what you mean!!

Just watched the rerun of the game on my Sky recording. On the entry to the pitch just before kick off when Take Me Home was playing, it was an absolutely deafening rendition in the stands BUT you can't hear a single word, only Bolton!!

A very one sided portrayal indeed!!

Next season will be interesting. Will Alexander go for the same tactic of having multiple goalscorers, or sanction the recruitment team to find him an out and out striker? My thinking is, it'll be the latter. I always had the feeling that, as well as Cook did for us, it made him the focus and we were too easily stopped, whereas multiple threats are his preferred option. That's fine if your front 3 are all upgrades on the current 3 of Sarce, Pointon and Humphrys.
All in all the result went the way I expected. Getting Bolton over two games was always going to be a challenge, and as my granddaughter said on the way out, better to lose here than at Wembley.

Just a mention on the pitch which was just about ok this season. The groundsmen have lost 2 weeks preparation time due to the playoffs. Will that impact the growth and stability of the playing surface next season? There's usually an update on what work is required by the club, but haven't heard anything.

I think next season kicks off a bit later than usual -mid August I believe with the 1st round of the Carabao a week earlier. I presume thats due to the World Cup.

Yes I’ve watched again and there’s next to nothing. I know I took stick for reporting how it came across ( some maybe justified ?) but glad it’s not just me, I had to check again . Nobody else seems to have done , bar yourself , which is perhaps understandable ? Further emphasises the ludicrous decision to give away fans a large portion Midland Rd stand .

It was as you say. I commented that we were quite, and all we could hear was Bolton. That is something the club are going to have to do something about. As far as I know Sky uses the current infrastructure of the club. We need the publicity of a well attended noisy stadium, to attract sponsors and players to come to our club.

I sat in north west corner having been moved out of my MR seat and it was at times deafening. I’ve not watched any footage but I’ve read enough about “how quiet” we were to believe that all you can hear are BW fans.

I sat just a few rows behind the dugout and for about 20-25 minutes we couldn't live with Bolton in the stands. I thought we were quieter than normal overall, probably due to free for all seating arrangements. I don't think the Bradford end got anything going, but looked to join in at times. Now we've heard the noise that can be generated in the Midland Road stand, I hope the regulars in there will bring it to the party next season..

Such a shame as for me, the atmosphere beats anything I've seen at VP in years. Even the Fleetwood game, which just felt too tense through the 90 mins until 90+6, and of course there werent as many Fleetwood fans to bounce off.
Something for the club to learn from for sure. Hoping we have lots more nights like this as we've all got a taste for it again!

It certainly wasn't quiet in the stadium! I struggle to think of another game where the crowd was so loud and continually so. According to a friend who watched it on Sky, the fans' noise simply wasn't captured by the mics other than from the MR stand

Its kinda like this, if you play three at the back its not the guy on the left, and its not the guy on the right, can you see where we are going with this, yes its the guy in the centre.

Hate to break it to you mate but all 3 are still centre backs whether they play on the right, left or on the middle of a 3.

I sat in my usual area, the noise generated by the City support was immense, until they scored. Understandably it virtually went on mute then, as scoring in the 81st minute effectively killed the tie off.

I don't recall that at all. It was really loud. The only time it was quieter was after they scored, but even then there was more noise than in a routine league match. We made a lot of noise throughout, and after the match had finished too.

We got two seats to the right of where we normally sit and there were a lot of different faces but far more noise from the area than normal, I thought on the night it was possibly the loudest I've heard for ages, and the number of chants were great not just " the Bradford boys making all the noise" apart from the result a very enjoyable night, I'll echo previous posts the club need to take a long hard look at themselves and don't repeat the exercise.
