Really disappointing. People are forgetting we finished above Bolton over a 46-game season, and I think we could’ve done more.

We showed it in the second half, but too often we only seem to turn it on once we go behind. We sat off Bolton for too long in the first leg.

Maybe that was the game plan, but our best performances have come when we press teams aggressively, and we’ve done that brilliantly against plenty of sides this season, even Championship teams. I just think we were too passive, and they’ll regret that.

The away fans are always near the mics at Valley Parade and sound louder therefore. It was a good atmosphere tonight, cannot fault the fans.

Ah well they had a go I suppose.

Felt the second subs came at the wrong time.

It seemed like wright and pointon had just started to get the better of that full back and he takes pointon off , moved wright to bloody full back and gives their lad the rest of the night off by putting humphrys against him.

No complaints really suppose the better side won

I seem to be in a minority here but I didn't think T Wright was particularly good when he came on. The first couple of minutes were ok but after that all he seemed to do was look for pass backwards. Several times there was a ball forward down the wing on and he came back.
What I am in agreement with everyone is that Humphreys was gash, bone idle and seemingly totally disinterested.

I worry this will be a big missed opportunity in the years to come. January really fecked us. We werent gonna catch Lincoln but we could of caught up to Cardiff and kept the pressure on if we made decent signings and Alexander didn’t chose to make a point with some very questionable lineups in the January an February away games

Plymouth and Luton both seemed to of found their feet and will give it a push next year for the top. Liecester and Oxford will be looking to make the bounce back up. No clue about Sheffield Wednesdays finances but it wouldn’t be out of the imagination to see them there. Stockport and Bolton both have stable foundations for fighting for promotion in LG1 and one of em will be joining us and going at it again next year

Then theres the dogs with their infinite transfer budget, ditto for Wycombe and the surprise team that will be pushing for the top

we need serious investment in the summer to hold our position. My worry is that the higher ups believe we have enough and won’t put the necessary funds to keep us where we are

Very strange individual at the back of the Midland Road stand went out jabbering loudly about "pretend fans" which puzzled me.

The sort of drivel you hear at Wembley when people try to peacock about how they go home and away, but after accepting defeat in quite a cordial way, and with a crowd that can't have had that many fairweather fans in the first place, I really don't get that person's point.

Some City fans are very strange.

Needs to be moved on in the summer. He's a really poor fit for a team that relies on a heavy work rate.

Any of the penalties good shouts?
    Was the goal offside?
I've not had the benefit of highlights.

Correct. An early goal would have unsettled. Holding them to 0-0 at HT when trailing wasnt for me either...

No real complaints as we wernt good enough.

There’s more talk about Town on some threads and we haven’t played them for months.

And some on here say they’re obsessed with us.

Just got back in and havent read through all the comments but my thoughts are that we sat back too much in the first half and looked a lot better in the second half. Thought Tyreik did well when he came on and we really have missed him whilst he has been out. Not sure how none of their players got booked in the handbags/mini fight when Baldwin and the two assistant managers got booked, I think it was Gale that looked like he tried throwing a punch.
They just looked stronger than us and seemed to push/bully us off the ball far too often which I haven't noticed in many games this year. But the major difference seemed to be the quality of their loan signings compared to ours. Did any of ours actually do anything this season?

    100%

To be honest, I want the summer recruitment to focus on work rate and pace. We look night and day from the team in Aug-Oct/Nov this season. At the start we attacked with intent and countered with direction, then after that Burton defeat, the hoof came in more and more and now it's our only plan. Go back to what worked, get out the lads who cant hack that style.

Can’t blame Baldwin. He was left in the lurch after those subs, and we were still losing. Can’t really do a “what if” when in actual fact Power hasn’t scored for three years.

it was a horrible scrappy game. Bolton didn’t want or need it, and they dragged us down. Last 20 mins was exciting and I honestly thought we’d bundle in an equaliser before Jackson’s disallowed goal and then their counter.

it’s been great. Surreal at times. Us and Cardiff fighting for the top of the table. January transfer window derailed us I think. Jackson imo is still not the answer.

We beat the dogs 3-1 and bettered them in the league standings.

GA knows what’s needed. The board….well the jury is still out. Has Rupp breathed a sigh of relief?

I’ve enjoyed it! Proud we’ve been at the top and apparently punching above our weight. Ironically, probably the most enjoyable game of the season, apart from that dog bothering 3-1 which I was honoured to attend with my son (first ever game) was the Bolton 1-1. Proper fighting football.

We can do it! But….there’s no rush to do it, I don’t think this team or our financial team can cope with Championship football so soon after being in L2. We don’t have Hollywood behind us.

Over and out! No more ht/ft bets hitting my account for a few months. Actually only paid out twice over the season. And that includes both teams!

We dont know what the budgets of Plymouth and Luton are considering they are losing millions .........as for serious investment unless there is a wealthy billionaire out there ready to lose tens of millions then it will be more of the same and thats cutting our cloth accordingly and you know what i can live with that unlike the shit storm that has hit certain clubs and will no doubt hit a lot more

We've moved on worse players, so I think it's doable.

Has too many "modes" that just don't work - either not trying hard enough or trying too hard. Needs too many touches. Doesn't pass when he should. He's a bust, time for him to go despite being a decent athlete and having natural talent.

Some won’t be happy until we have 6k again, the I went to Torquay on a Tuesday night brigade. It really is pathetic. Football is a passion of all of ours, but it’s a hobby not life and death. It was a fantastic spectacle tonight seeing the old girl full, nothing else needs saying.

Oh well, can't really complain about the result. 0 shots on goal in a match and a half isn't going to win you many playoff ties. At least we had a go and didn't try to nick the win but we really struggled to create much yet again.

I'll be really disappointed if he is around next season, contract or not.

90% of the time he offers absolutely nothing and then when he does have a little spark the end product is usually rubbish.

He seems to me to be someone has been told he is a really good footballer and should be above the level he is at.

That has got into his head and strolls around thinking he is above all this
