Bolton are only giving us £2,000!! Which is 7% so in theory we should return the favour!

I doubt either of these games will sell out, though both clubs could take more away than the respective allocations.

It's a shame that the clubs are limiting the people who can go to the games, regardless of exactly where we'll be sitting.

My grandsons go the away matches frequently, but don’t have enough points atm. We will have to see if they do sell out.

Do you really think there’s a chance the away tickets won’t sell out?

I want to know if I can get my usual seat at Wembley? I also have a precise area to sit in when I go to away games.

TBVF as long as you don’t have your view blocked by a pillar, then it is a one match move.

The vast majority of cup games result in the Midland Road stand being shut, yet those who usually sit there, somehow manage.

See it as comparable to an away game!

    Just concentrate on the match!

I don't know why the club is bending over to help Bolton and increase the away fan numbers for the home leg. Bolton is entitled to 2,000 tickets; anything more is for our club to determine. Another poster said it's for the extra revenues for our club which in one sense is true but it's SFA.

For example, another 1000 tickets (to make the maths a little easier) at the full adult price of £24 would create £24,000 of income. That is not the club's income. First of all, let's deduct VAT of £4000 to hand over to HMRC. Of the remaining £20,000, 50% goes direct to the EFL into their central pool. The other £10,000 is then shared equally between the 4 play-off clubs. We would hang onto the princely amount of £2,500 for providing Bolton fans with an extra 1,000 tickets. Or if you prefer £2.50 extra revenue for each extra ticket sold. What we're doing at all sorts of levels is bonkers.

Have we had a club statement advising why and how the ticketing allocations were worked out between clubs and why are City allocating away/ home fans accordingly. Until we know it’s pure conjecture ?

Don't forget the increased policing and stewarding costs. By the time they're factored in we're probably operating at a loss for allowing an additional 1000 Bolton fans!!

I don’t think the safety committee and the fire brigade would be happy with fire exits being blocked like that.

aren’t we giving them less than the league match? 2762 for the league game and 2400 for the play off?

Absolutely no need to change the allocation from what happened in the league. Why do the club always complicate things when it should be simple

7% of our capacity is 1,700 which would be 300 below the minimum

According to the club, Bolton sold 2,781 tickets for the recent game against us. So far as away tickets at VP are concerned, the club has said that Bolton will receive the entirety of MR other than blocks F&G with some kind of segregation area in Blocks A&E which typically is about half of the width of the block. Each block, other than G has about 650 seats. I've not seen a particular number of away tickets provided by our club. Bolton will have this of course for when their tickets go on sale. If it's the extra 400 you refer to, the club will receive an extra £1,000 ticket revenue! I hope the club truly believes it's worth all of the angst from its supporters.

For that 5 minute period when we were playing Stevenage which would have been perfect for the home leg as we would easily have got away with giving them just the 2 blocks in Midland Road and I would have been the best of both worlds. But with that we would have got an allocation of 1,300 in the away game, the alternative would have been Stockport but that allocation is only 1,150 so in terms of away fans Bolton was the biggest allocation we were going to get.

Where did everyone park this season? No chance I'm going back to the retail park! Probably took me about an hour to get back onto the motorway.

I think this is where the club often lets itself down. I'm sure there has been some thought process thats gone into these changes, but the club should be open and transparent with fans and share that rationale.
Some may still not agree, but as it stands its caused a lot of friction which feels unnecessary.

im saying it is about 300 less. Carlisle got 2440 tickets with the same split so I presume it will be roughly the same number. Half of block A is lost due to segregation and half of block E so it is just 4 blocks.

I think we would have a better chance selling them to Bolton fans for a Thursday night game so if it was about cash we would have been better leaving it as so it obviously isn’t about cash. If we had given Bolton 2800 and only got 2200 from them then people would have been kicking off. By the looks of it the club have gone for the lowest possible number without doing anything daft like closing seats for the sake of it
