Exeter away

I was actually fearing it would be Darren Drysdale, this could be worse.

 

Got to find a way to win this one. Exeter have won 1 game in 19, we've got to be putting them down and easily this weekend. Just 3 points from 12 going into this, we cant be limping into the play offs with god awful form and expecting us to find a miracle way of suddenly performing a week later when it matters.

Looks like if you keep Wareham in check, they aren't much of a worry and his record against teams at the time in the top 6 this season isn't thrilling to say he's almost bagged 20. He's had 12 games against a team in the top 6, started all 12 and has scored 2 goals, a header in a 5-1 thumping against Bolton and a goal in a 3-0 win against Stevenage from the penalty spot.

 

It really says it all about us as fans and what we have been through over the years that we don’t even have the confidence of winning a game against a team with such poor record.

 

Our form in the last 10 is not much better than relegation form. That’s why I’m lacking confidence.
We lost to Wimbledon in late February who’d only won once at home since September.
We’ll struggle on Saturday. Of that I have no doubt.
Exeter are the only team to beat Lincoln at home this season too.

 

last ten games we have picked up 13 points with the worst bit being the last 3, 3 draws. Exeter last 10 they have got 7 points, again their last 3 all draws too.

so yep we might not have had a great last ten but there are 11 teams that have had a worse last ten than us, so more mid table than relegation.

 

Got a dodgy ref on Saturday. I'm shocked.

I just hope the result isn't determined on a dubious referees called, it's a massive game for both clubs one every possibility of relegation and the other the chance of a play off place, hopefully he takes that in.

Colchester not won away in a year, come to valley parade and beat us.
Forest Green on the verge of relegation, come to valley parade and beat us.
Hartlepool no away win like forever, come to valley parade and beat us.

I know they are home games, but you get why City fans aren't confident of getting the job done.

 

And don’t forget Tranmere at home last season. Almost stopped us going up and they’d not won away for months and months

 

Luton have the toughest game this weekend - Bolton.

For us and Plymouth it's bottom sides, and Stevenage have Wigan (midtable).

I don't expect us to need a point, but we can't leave it to fate. Just win, send Exeter down, keep our heads and our discipline even if they get desperate and start using the dark arts, NO RED CARDS, and I expect we will play Bolton in the semis.

Two draws, win on pens, off to Wembley, beat Stockport a 3rd time, happy days!

Finish top 8 next season, win the playoffs again, and we're one season off the Champions League!

 

Let's remember this could be a draw and it will do for us should we not do it ourselves.....

 

I could see Exeter being relegated no matter what
Orient aren’t losing at home to a safe Burton and Peterborough are safe baring a complete disaster
Early goal for Orient will certainly been known on the pitch and could make heads drop

 

Just seen that the game is on both Sky sports main event (401) and Sky sports football (403) channels.

 

Cant get a result Saturday then it really doesnt bode well for a play off games should results go for us.

We have had two decentish results against an in form Plymouth and 3rd place Bolton lets get a decent win Saturday and go into them games confident.

probably still cheap flights from Inverness with easyjet…. . That’s how I got there once, then train from Bristol. It’s only a short detour from West Yorks to Inverness. It’s a lovely city too and the sun is shining at the moment up here.

 

Hope they have good wifi coverage at St.Jame's Park on Saturday, otherwise there will be all sorts of rumours going round about scores elsewhere. Reminiscent of the old days when people took transistor radios to keep up with scores elsewhere. Bring back the old fashioned halftime scoreboard I say, when you needed a programme to know which letter related to which game.
