Only one early ko today,Mansfield winning at Doncaster.On paper,Donny look to have a decent side,but they have been very erratic.

 

Assuming we manage three points, I'd rather Bolton and Stockport win. And then Town beat Reading.

Maintains status quo within the play off spots but crucially would mean pulling away from the chasing pack. Not really fussed on our position within the POs, though 3/4 would be nice for home game second. But I'd rather the chasing pack lose ground.

All on the premise we win though.

 

Late equaliser for the Dogs. Good result if it stays like that .

 

Stevenage draw 0-0 at Rotherham, down to 10 men.

Monday's fixtures:



Bolton v Stockport and Reading at home to Lincoln are the standouts. Ideally, Barnsley will take something off Plymouth but they are very decent on the road.

 

Lets hope Lincoln get at least the point they need to clinch promotion.

 

With a 24 goal difference advantage I’d argue they are already promoted. They’ll want to win the league though surely. I expect an away win as Reading are awful.

 

Half times in league 1:

• Wimbledon 0-1 Luton
• Barnsley 0-1 Plymouth
• Orient 1-1 Huddersfield
• Reading 0-1 Lincoln
• Stevenage 0-0 Blackpool

The table is getting very tight with 9 points separating 3rd to 10th as things stand, 6th down to 9th separated by goal difference.

 

I'd settle for these results at full time.

 

Not a bad set of results giving us a 7 point gap to 7th.

A 106th minute winner for Huddersfield keeps them in the race, one thing their fans can't accuse the players of is giving up as that's 4 points won in injury time over easter.

Real chance for us to get a top 4 place which would be an incredible achievement and gives us a great chance of getting to Wembley.

Automatics are gone barring a Cardiff collapse and us winning out. Play offs are sealed unless we lose out pretty much from the packs form..... a fairly meaningless 5 games forward? It would be unreal for us to bottle point, cant imagine many care if its 3rd or 6th either given the packs form

 

One more win to be certain I reckon.

Cardiff still have Bolton, Reading and Huddersfield to play. It's an absolute ridiculous long shot, but not beyond the realms of possibility that they don't pick up a massive haul there.

 

That season we did the double over Millwall (champions) and Middlesbrough (playoff winners) who we lost to in the playoff semi finals

 

I didn't realise Lincoln have a wage cap in place at the club, no player is on more than £3,500 per week. It's the 7th lowest budget in the league, unreal work by their staff and players this season. They also have the lowest possession stats too this season. Simple attacking football done really well.

 

It feels like it could be a blueprint for promotion out of this league if you're not being bankrolled by billionaires.
