Very similar chance to the Luton chance. I'm certain that a confident Wheatley scores that but at the moment he's not got the confidence, he probably needs a first time finish where there is no time to think about it.

 

That's his fourth one on one with the keeper I believe.. same each time.

 

Was never convinced when he went through huge credit for making the chance ........ but end product poor again

 

Impressed by how well Wheatley got away from their defense. Really good pace and control. Let's give him credit for that.

 

Like Sarc last week. A lower league midfielder showing a premier league striker how its done.

His finishing is utter shite.

 

Keeper only went down in response to his shot and stick his leg out to save it.

Tbf to their keeper he did well to stay up so long. If he'd chipped it, the keeper would have caught or saved it.

 

Lacking confidence. It was a 'safe' finish. Shovel towards goal and hope for the best. No composure or conviction. Maybe it'll come.

I think as well a striker in his position with his lack of confidence feels a touch on the shoulder and takes the easy option to go down and hope they can get a free kick. One thing nobody can say about him is that he gives up and hides.
