    Yes, BT was down for a while around breakfast time. Simon sorted it by doing lots of things involving TFLAs* which I couldn't even follow let alone understand!

    The Downtime from around 8:30pm on the 5th Feb was caused by us running out of disk space mainly due to attachments which are what takes up most of the space we use. I've managed to clean out some logs which should gives us a few days of operation while we try and find a longer term solutions (Ideally one that doesn't require moving to the next server config up)

    That isn't really viable as it destroys old threads. That might not be much of an issue for regulars but old threads get alot of traffic from search engines and financially they are one of if not the best traffic. It would probably be 'more expensive' deleting old attachments than it would be to upgrade so we get more disk space

    fair enough.. though it doesn't make much sense to me that you have to delete the post to delete the attachment if we're treating the word 'attachment' in it's computer terminology context.

    I use an ad blocker so that’s not a problem for me, but I spend more time here than any other site so is the right thing to do to subscribe.
