Probably been done to death on here earlier in the window but, considering it looks like we’ve now got our striker, surely the next look is a no.10

Pointon hasn’t been amazing / is out of favour of late and Sarce is obviously injured. Sibley and White are not long term solutions, we need to get that position ready for the very near future where we don’t have a Sarcevic available.

Any names to throw on the wish list? I haven’t a clue to be honest

The only one of experience and ability similar to the skill set that Sarcevic offers, jumping out at me would be Elliott Lee. We know he’s available, are we interested or is he within our reach is another matter
Or do we need to start planning for a different approach, different set up, different attributes (e.g. physicality and pace across the side).

 

We are looking at all these strikers but our creative talent needs improvement.The Doncaster team we play on Saturday have one player I wish we could have and that is Molyneux.

Hi all. Looks like Mullin is coming to you. Great player, a true legend for us and has god like status in Wrexham. Although I understand the reservations/concerns about him now.
Knowing him as well as I do as a player the only concern about him that you need to have is fitness. Ability and goal scoring wise he's easily good enough for L1. He never got going last season and was banished from January onwards after a row with Parky. That's why he didn't play, because of a falling out.

We basically flogged him for three years before that and he played through the pain with a back injury. He finally got that sorted two summers ago and struggled for fitness since then. He did say his back was sorted and it was the best he'd felt in a long time when he came back last season after surgery. Obviously he also punctured his lung in the summer before we went into L2 but when he came back that season he was soon back to his goal scoring self.

To get the best out of him he needs a striker partner. We only saw the real Mullin once we signed Palmer. That unleashed him and freed him up to do his thing. Prior to that he played up front on his own and that never going to suit him.

He will run all day for you and his work rate is off the scale. Get him chances and he will score goals. I've got no doubt about that. Wigan are a basket case and a club going in the wrong direction. I'm not sure any player has done very well there this season.

Would I sign Elliot Lee too? Absolutely.

He was our top scorer last season. Baller.

Interesting about him needing a partner - what kind of player does he need near him? We also haven’t played with two up top in quite some time so that will be interesting to see

 

I'd also add that both Lee and Mullin are great people and have done so much locally in and around Wrexham. Charities schools etc etc you name it they were there. They epitomise going above and beyond and they absolutely do 'give a shit'.

 

So, could Swan be a foil for Mullin or can we wake Humps up from his nap?

 

I'll get behind anybody who puts on the claret and amber, but Mullin is very meh for me. Please prove me wrong. Just hope it is a loan.
