Look it is going to take time for fans to see that there has been a positive sea change. This isn’t something that we can wave a magic wand and everything goes away.

Syria - what a f¥ck up that is. Still, as he says, he know politics.

    He did say that, right?

It is getting a bit like the boy who cried wolf now. They said they made mistakes with recruitment and would learn and in the summer it feels almost like we signed loads of players just so we had no way to come back at the owners for not being quick enough off the mark again.

Cool, an apology is all well and good but he needs to ACT

New COO, other staff recruited into positions they know best, if he's adamant on a director of football role within the club for crying out loud give it to someone who actually knows football rather than winging it himself. Step back and let your staff do the jobs you pay them for and forgiveness will come in the long term

To be totally honest, I'm tired of arguing my stance. I'm tired of being asked to come up with justification for why I think what I do. I try to see both sides of the story, give people the benefit of the doubt, not be sucked in by the hype.

For those of us who are not in the loop, who don't speak to the players, the staff, the bloke who lives next to an ex-employee... this situation is incredibly confusing. How can I know for sure that anything anyone says is true?

I've had just about enough of it all, let's just get back to talking about football. I want Edin to do whatever he needs to do to get things right. I want Hopkin to have the freedom to do a job that I'm convinced he will do well. I want to enjoy Bradford City again.

I think he is a sincere man. He wants success and doesn't want to harm the club. He seems genuine enough when I hear him speak. Sometimes I actually feel sorry for him.

Unfortunately, I've not bought into the strategy though and I can't accept the hurrendous decisions that have been made. It's pure incompetence.

That leaves me in a tricky spot.

Fair enough. I don't know whether it's because of malicious intent or a mixture of incompetence and hubris - but he's running the club into the ground.

    Compare it to this:
    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/16201916.amp/

Its no different. Ambiguous apologies, reference to learning lessons and making changes, and building a solid foundation for the future. They then took 7 weeks to appoint Michael Collins, oversaw the most shambolic pre-season I can remember and signed 18 players, only a handful of whom are good enough for what we need and have left us facing down a relegation fight despite it being only September.

His words mean nothing when his leadership of the club is so profoundly damaging to us on and off the field.

I am critical of Edin and hope that this is a period of actions speaking louder than words. I understand his sustainable approach and recognise his words that some may walk away and move on, as the model changes. It happens in business and will continue thereof. I respect his words here.

As for the apology. Hats off Mr Rahic. He seems sincere and the fact he has come out and apologized is received well with myself. I know others may not agree. Fine, each to their own, your call.

I can hope for my Bradford City FC experience that some of the anamosity, toxicity on match days is lessened, as it's a chore at the moment.

So today, I hold back on my negative thoughts towards the owners and tentatively, award them slack in the hope that the club can find direction, ownership of its responsibility.

Talk is cheap, the same cheap talk I've heard for two years of destruction.
If he gets my club back to where it was before he fecked up 6years of progress, and put us in a relegation scrap with kids to man the trenches.
Even though they were told and retold what would happen.
Then I'll sit up and listen to this development of the club so it's set up for the future they're telling us about.

Untill then, I'll hope the deal Mr Tordoff is quietly trying to put together, becomes fruitful and one these imbeciles can't refuse.

For being an egotiscal feckstick trying to live a failed junior footballers ( if it ever happened) life through owning a club and not have an idea what he's doing and royally fecking it up, would be a good start

You're right but what else is there to say? I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, I would like to believe, on this occassion, that he is being sincere. I may be misguided, my faith might be misplaced, I don't have a crystal ball so I have no way of knowing.

I think we all need to accept that we're not all going to view this in the same way. I've tried to be respectful of others' opinions. I can't put up with some of the offensive nonsense I've seen elsewhere, but that isn't coming from the majority. At the end of the day, we all want what's best for the club, let's not forget that.

    Well.

I’m not completely appeased, but it’s a start. An apology and accepting of (some anyway) responsibility is long over due. Let’s hope moving forward he indeed takes a step back and let’s Hopkin and his team control the footballing side, and the recruitment.

Words are a start, now back it up with action over the next few weeks/months and let’s move forward as a club.

Takes a stable club from the brink of the Championship to one who will fight relegation this year. Destroys a back room team, it’s soul & reputation. He breaks up a team to try prove a point that he knows football and fails. Makes the club a laughing stock with other clubs through his ham fisted attempts to sign players. Pisses off directors & sponsors...but hey he has said sorry for appointing Collins a part time U18 coach to first team manager & Bantam Pete and the fellow members of the Rahic Family say he’s a great bloke so “Come On City” Bollocks!

Thing is we can only move forward as a club if everyone wants to move in the same direction and currently I don’t think that is the case. It wouldn’t have mattered what he said to some people, they will not be happy until he has left the club.

True. But I’m still sceptical but we have to see if anything actually changes. An apology is a good start. Not sure he’s addressed most concerns but he has accepted responsibility and apologised for the things he has publically admitted to, I just hope that he’s accepted responsibility and is willing to change on the things that have gone on behind closed doors.
