Edin Statement

I know many will see it as too little too late or will say he's been forced into saying it but fair play to him. I hope he is sincere in what he says, only time will tell but at least it's a start.

Well, there is a sorry in there(which is what fans have been wanting) and a recognition and acceptance that things have gone wrong, much of which is down to him... this of course won't be enough for some, but it;s a start and we should draw a line for a few weeks and see what develops and whether he keeps his word.

 

A sorry is a start. However, until staff that actually ‘know football’ are employed in the key roles that he is taking up, it’s not enough for me.

He is the chairman and should act like the chairman. Leave the rest to those with the required experience.

 

I think most mind is made up and that’s a shame.

He’s apologised which is nothing If it’s not now backed up with him taking a back seat and backing Hopkin with whatever he sees fit in January. He has to learn and every owner is going to have their own way of running things so turnover of staff is one thing that comes with a new owner. But we are nearly 2 and a half years in so we should be settled now and have less of this upheaval.

But he has come out and said his piece. I can’t help but think that Rupp has had a word and got this sorted over the last couple of weeks

I hope Hopkin can get us going on the pitch. I for one can’t wait for Saturday so we can concentrate on the bloody football again. All this Rahic talk is boring.

 

All well and good but if he lies .......

 

I think the most important sentence in that whole article was;

''He is a great leader and will make the right decisions for us within the football department''

I hope this is genuine and means he'll give Hopkin the budget and let him do the rest. Not too late to turn it around but it needs to happen now.

 

No he gets full marks for coming out and saying he is responsible. That is exactly what needed to be done before we can move on.

We will just have to see where we go from here. If we now start to see a different Edin due to learning that is taking place then that is something to celebrate. We all want our club to be successful, and right now we all crave some stability.

 

He is basically apologising for hiring Collins and that's it nothing else really.

 

His words have no credibility and neither does his record here.

I'm not interested in his words.

I'm not appeased that easily and I want him gone.

A very clever man, very aware of a fans backlash on Saturday so gets in first to diffuse the situation.

 

This is what many were asking for and the right thing for him to do at this moment in time.

I asked for a new manager, I've got it.
I asked for a recognition of mistakes, I've got it. Now all I'm asking is that he is as good as his word and we move on.

This will not be enough for some, and I'm sure we are all in agreement that actions speak louder. Let's see what happens.

 

Well, he's making a total bollocks of running the club so he ain't that clever.

His words have meant nothing before, I see this as no different.

Problem is many people are unable to change an opinion once formed regardless of words or otherwise..... which is the real issue, for other examples see Brexit, regardless of fact people so entrenched in a view cann9t see the wood for the trees to change it.

He's apologised, accepted fault now he needs to keep quiet and let Hopkin sort it on the field.

 

What else would you like him to say sorry for ?

 

How many apologies and "lesson learned" statements can he keep coming out with. Load of crap if you ask me.

 

What mistakes does he recognise though? The only specific he calls out is the appointment of Collins. He asserts that 'a significant portion of the article is false'... which bits? The rate of staff turnover? People being put into roles they're unqualified to perform in? Are we really not paying our bills?

It's only a few months ago that we were told 'Lessons had been learned'.

There's nothing different here.

It'll take a hell of a lot more than a statement to sort out the mess that we've become.
