What a team!! Get in there City!

 

Brilliant win and a brilliant performance.

9 games into the season, top of the league and top scorers in the league. Nobody can honestly say they saw this coming at the start of the season. Huge October coming up with Barnsley and Lincoln at home and Stevenage away. If we are still anywhere near top after the Stevenage game on 25th October we really can start to believe this could be a very special season.

 

And Doncaster concede twice after going a goal up, Jake Reeves with one.

 

He got a fair bit of credit last week but Touray deserves even more today.

One of the attacking players will probably get MOTM but it could quite easily be Touray.

Right place at right time in first half with a couple of blocks/deflections and carried it on in 2nd.

Slotted in to that LCB position with ease.

 

Luckily we have a tin pot game on Wednesday night we can rest our lads.

Just a shout out for Gary Bowyer and his side holding the doggies at home, your on borrowed time Mr Grant.

 

The doggies are very unhappy. Their forum is amusing at the moment.

 

We'll be lucky if we can raise 11 fit players for wednesday, half our squad are knackered .....

 

Between him and Power for motm for me today although no one had a bad game.

 

I agree. He brings pace and more technical ability on the ball too. Added to which, Wright has been superb at wingback in the last 2 games.

 

I'd throw Swan into the mix. He's been an outstanding find. Their lad up front cost 4m, Taylor last week cost 3m. Swan looks better than either.

Wow what a great win. Echoes last weeks performance (no, my lucky omen son was not in attendance, although we did think about going). And the icing on the cake, was Andy Kiwomya thinking that Stephen Humphries was playing up front for the last twenty minutes!

 

And doing a great job at LCB too.

 

This season is like a dream. I can’t quite believe what I’ve just been watching.
We’ve at last started pressing away like we do at home. We look a much better team when we go for the jugular.

The grandson and 3 of his mates are staying in Cardiff overnight, I've told him to be careful down there, enjoy the occasion but don't over do it .
I'm not one for visiting opposition forums but after last week I'd have thought they would have bounced back today at home, such a shame, they couldn't do a Bradford City after the Doncaster result.

 

Getting very worried about all these injuries.
