Apologies. You’re right. It was the 50 fans shouting outside the main stand that changed everything and why we are now top of league 1.
The only credible comment is that it did push Sparks into appointing Sharpe.

You can keep trying to play that day down as long as you want to. Denigrating fellow fans who felt compelled enough to take action in the form of a protest. Now you pacifists will sit there in your ivory tower but , by complete coincidence, since that day our club has flourished. One day you might say well done for having the balls to protest but for now you can sit in the shadows sniping like you do. If that makes you feel better? Dunno. It seems so.

You’re right, I wasn’t compelled enough to protest because I didn’t believe Rupp was the problem.
Don’t you forget that you protested against a team that eventually got promotion. Nothing from that protest changed anything on the pitch for those 5 months

    When were the protests? December?
The team were struggling pre Xmas, fans were frustrated and rightly so.
Awful result at Notts County and GA was on the ropes.
The next 2 games at home saved his job in my opinion.
The actions of that mini protest did not turn the team fortunes around did it? The team started winning and not surprisingly the protesting stopped as did the calls for GA’s head.
    It’s fickleness personified

    Nope they weren't. Nowhere near.

Carry on flapping with your argument.

Must have pre-dated the appointment of David Sharpe in April 2024.

Ok I’m slightly out with my dates but the same point applies in that until Xmas the team were performing badly, there was unrest in the camp and fans protesting, calling out Rupp for failing to honour his promises of injecting more cash.
Then we start winning and it’s all quiet on the western front.
One thing we can all agree on though is we are al grateful for this uplift in fortune on the pitch.

If only every set of football fans protested. Everyone would be top of the league. Wouldn’t they?
Do you seriously believe that protesting after we lost to forest green, Mansfield, Notts and Harrogate back in March last year had any impact on us then going on a run and almost reaching the playoffs?
Or could it have been that our manager got better and started picking the correct formation?

we all have opinions and you’ll never get me to agree that protesting and boycotting achieves anything.
There were some on here suggesting that dropping to non league and starting again was a solution. Ludicrous!

now I’m not saying in any way that Rupp being an absent owner was the right thing to do but he certainly wasn’t the reason we were losing football matches. That was down to the manager / players in the same way it’s down to them that we now sit top of the table.
