If you're so confident take the bet and raise some money for the Burns unit.

£20 says he doesn't make 15 league starts this season.

I won't hold my breath though.

15 starts is a lot in a squad rotated team, especially when down the pecking order... allow him 8 and he might bite your hand off. :p

He's not down the pecking order though, he's first choice according to park.

I will however compromise with 12 starts but he went take it as I don't believe even he truly believes Byrne is anywhere near good enough.

You will need to remind me mate of the glaring errors by Byrne that led directly to goals then

I have said a few times what I thought about Byrne which is I didn’t think he was up to much. Having said that he made a big contribution to a team who had the second best defensive record in the league. What I think doesn’t matter because the manager rates him highly and it’s opinion that counts

They mostly depend on if you include p1ss poor defending and not having a clue where your man is as "errors".

Regardless of whether our other defenders are, Neill Byrne isn't good enough for league one and if he plays he'll look even worse than he did at times in league two.

Absolutely no reversing at all what I think about Byrne doesn’t matter what the manager thinks does and i think he will pick him

To be honest mate I think all our central defenders are just typical lower league defenders with a mistake or two in every one.

Early days, but Pennington seems to be the steadiest and hopefully he is back at the weekend.

None of them appear to be in the same bracket as McArdle and Davies were back in the day. The last outstanding central defensive partnership.

I don't know how much faith we can have in this article considering the massive error highlighted.
22-Year-Old Appears As Bradford City Injury Update Emerges

"Mixed Injury News for the Bantams
Bradford are still waiting for clarity on Curtis Tilt after the defender underwent a scan on the hip and groin problem that forced him off during Saturday’s draw at Doncaster Rovers(??? wtf!). Alexander explained that the injury was sustained in a collision and that the club are hopeful of a positive outcome once results are confirmed.

There was better news with Matt Pennington returning to full training, while Neill Byrne has also rejoined the group, although the latter remains behind in his recovery after a longer absence. Pennington could be considered for this weekend’s derby against Huddersfield Town, giving Alexander additional defensive options alongside Ciaran Kelly and McIntyre.

The manager admitted competition for places at the back is increasing, something he believes will be essential as the fixtures continue to come thick and fast."

Alexander can't have much time left if this away form continues.

Paul Jewell got some great away wins. Why don't we bring him in as an advisor?

If we sort out our away form we could walk the league.

Really that easy, I'll be more than happy to win on Saturday after our first defeat of the season at Doncaster and get back to winning ways.

Doing a bit of a dive into GAs stats so far, it could be that because the home form is so good, it makes the away form look worse? But it's not exactly a terrible away form guide either. After Saturday, GA has managed City for 84 league games. We have played 43 at home and 41 away, but his record away from home is 54 points from 41 away games (14 W, 12 D, 15 L) with a ppg of 1.32. Whereas the home form is 89 points from 43 home games (27 W, 8 D, 8 L) with a ppg 2.07. It's not a terrible away form return.

The away form might also be that we don't seem to show up against the strugglers? As you say, Northampton and Peterborough, looking at those games we shouldnt have drawn those. Of the strugglers last season, we couldn't beat Newport, Accrington, Harrogate or Morecambe away. We did beat Tranmere and MK early on when they weren't struggling too badly early on in the season and beat Carlisle when they were pretty doomed. But then this season we go to Stockport and get a win, we've had wins away at Salford when they were challenging, seem to remember us beating Wrexham at their place. Weirdly, I have more faith in us showing up away to a Cardiff than say a Burton type side in L1.
