Burnley wouldn't have cared if it was a permanent deal, which is what it turned out to be.

I cannot see us being interested anyhow

Yeh not on a perm but maybe loan? Weve been chasing a PL loan according to GA. Maybe one of them that became a perm and we walked away.

We might see a different player in the LAM role when Bobby needs a rest. Heres hoping. LWB experiment didnt really work.

He would have been well down the pecking order here.

Charlie Crew, Leeds CM has signed for Donny. Think 1 or 2 on here speculated him.

I don’t think you’re alone in your thoughts about Cook and his effect on the way we play. Many in and around where I sit share the same opinion as you. We appeared to play quicker one touch attacking football after the injury as opposed to the more hit long and hope he wins the free kick, or the flick on goes to Kav. If Cookie can be incorporated into the “easier on the eye” style and still score the same amount of goals, then it’s a no brainer. If we revert to the long ball and cough up possession then I think we’ll get punished more often than not.

Against Wycombe we had 31% possession and plenty of the long balls you mentioned so it's harsh to suggest that Cook was the reason we used to turn the ball over.

In fact, I'd suggest the opposite as GA wants us to play higher up and Cook playing helped us win and retain more of the longer balls so possession would naturally be higher.

Not blaming Cook, but the mentality of the team changes with him in the side. He becomes the focus of every attack, rather than the multi faceted attack we saw on Saturday. If he can play across the front 3 then brilliant, if he stays centrally then we become more one dimensional.

Of course he can play across the front three, the two goals away at Mansfield and Gillingham prove that he doesn't just stand in the middle but equally he isn't going to stand out wide hoping to cut in and shoot, that's just not his game.

I do accept the argument about being fluid too but there will also be games when we will require that focal point and someone who will tuck the ball away from minimal or half chances.

Let's be honest, it was a goalkeeping error and a 20 yard belter than won us the game on Saturday and those goals aren't coming every week. To be comfortable in the top half we will absolutely need a "finisher" getting 15 to 20 and whether that turns out to be Humphrys, Cook or another in the squad I suppose time will tell.

They didn’t need midfielders on Saturday, they needed defenders . Good signing but I would have thought Spurs would be aiming for a CC loan? .

A Huddersfield fan is saying on twitter that Ladapo is joining us on loan. Account has 4 followers and every other tweet the account has done is tweeting their owner saying "announce a signing today".... so I'm going to guess is just an annoying youth.

Not the first time Ladapo as been mentioned in fact if I remember rightly he was allegedly the player who failed to beat the last transfer deadline when the lights were still on at Valley Parade.
Cook might have resumed full training today but sounds like he's still plenty to do and in all honesty nowhere near a starting place so it wouldn't surprise me if we strengthen short term till the next window.

It would be a hideous waste of budget. Id rather use Ibbitson than a washed up striker from the dogs.

Ladapo is a very Bradford City, pre Alexander, L2 type of striker.
