Summer 2025 transfer rumours

I knew it wouldn't be easy for Luton and it took a lucky goal to win the game but Wimbledon didn't show enough going forward. If they play like that they will definitely struggle.

 

Think the commentator might eat his words come the end of the season. Signing Yates is probably the best signing in this league for me. Once they get going they will be the team to beat although I don't think they will win with ease.

 

They were poor 8n the final 3rd last season. Orsi aint the answer IMO. Losing Goodman, Neufville and Tilley wont help either in other areas.

 

Yer, they were overly defensive.

 

All down to the parachute payments , how the hell can other clubs compete with them other than having a sugar daddy owner , totally unfair and almost guarantees auto promotion.

 

That may be true , you can only see what’s in front of you. They were poor. Like all teams they will be rusty .

Agree, steady away does it. We’ll lose games and have lean spells, but as long as no one has a melt down and keeps calm heads, we’ll be OK. A boring mid table finish to consolidate will do me. Plus a good cup run thrown in and I think we can call that a successful season.

 

Luton earned those parachute payments from success on the pitch.

Nothing unfair about it all. Its the same reward for every club if they get to the PL.

 

It's not really unfair, they worked for it and earned it.

 

I always thought the purpose of parachute payments was to help clubs retain players that will be earning much more than the average championship salary. I had no idea it could be used for things such as funding a new ground. Every day is a school day.

 

I honestly believe that it's inherently unfair in the way the money is distributed but those are the rules and as you say, they've earned it.

It's similar to the argument during May every year about the play offs being unfair but 12 months earlier everyone is happy with the extended opportunity of a shot at promotion.

I suppose it is what it is and we just need to get on with our own business.

Although still under contract at Stockport, he has not been given a squad number this season , so obviously surplus to requirements at Edgeley Park.

Powell was in attendance at Wigan yesterday.

 

That particular twitter account was at the centre of the day Wells 'was signing' and the day Rinomhota 'is signing' excitement.

I fully expect a couple of other accounts to spring up saying they have heard the same. Kids with nowt better to do.
