    It's from last Summer, when he joined them permanently after he had been on loan there.

    Maybe, but every year clubs up and down the country provide a 'released list' consisting of out of contract players who are surplus requirements, so the terminology used in the article is fairly standard procedure.

    Regardless though, he wasn't offered a contract. That's 2 relegated clubs in 2 consecutive seasons who have opted against it which is a worrying sign. I hope he's here as backup.

    Based on the fact he's done nothing in his career and was released twice from clubs relegated into league 2.

    The statement says it’s a one year contract but his interview says it’s a two year contract.

    Do they provide a released list though? Or do they provide a retained list and details of those they've offered a contract too and then deductions are made as to who is therefore surplus to requirements?

    To be honest, I'm actually hoping that we'll soon get some transfer news about players we've got moving onwards. Wright, Riley, Akpan, Scanell, Doyle, Oconnor - I'd be delighted to get these of the wage bill so we can bring in some new faces.
